Running WinUAE with a HDF attached to "real" controller (e.g. *IDE0*) crashes without dump.

Can't duplicate (btw, reports can't get any more minimal..)

I can. Choose A4000 from Quickstart or load an existing config, create a new HDF or use an existing one, enable RDB mode (if not already), attach it to IDE0 (if not already), click on start -> crash.

Same HDF attached to UAE works fine.

I know, but tell me what I should report. Log file is created but empty. Dump file is nowhere to be found.

I could let it send the problem report to Microsoft if that helps...

I have this seen this issue in latest beta as well (so am using previous version in the mean time). the emu crashes before the log gets started so nothing to post .

using my normal config which uses ide0 with rdb bootable hardfile crash. If i change it to uae then boots fine . This issue is only happening in the latest beta.

Beta 13:

- more screen mode switching problems fixed
- automatically select next bigger resolution if fullscreen mode fails to open (for example 50Hz-only modes without 50Hz compatible display)
- added "keep aspect ratio" checkbox to filter panel, syncronizes vertical and horizontal zoom sliders (OGL/D3D are still broken!)
- both vertical and horizontal filter multiplier set to "FS" and aspect ratio checkbox checked -> keep aspect ratio
- midscreen BPLCON4 modifications fixed (broken since 1200b2, stupid bug, wrong register address..) fixes Gloom (and other programs using same copper C2P method) graphics problems
- winuaeenforcer stack debug output fix (BR)
- PCMCIA SRAM emulation eject crash fix
- fullwindow Picasso96 mode is centered again

Booting from ide0 is still instantly crashing the emu before log is written. Have to set as uae to be able to boot.

Didn't do anything with this because I can't duplicate and haven't got enough information to debug it.

Finally I got a dump when I changed from SCSI0 (which expectedly did not work with a A4000D ROM) to IDE0 while WinUAE was already running and clicked on Reset. This was on Vista Home Premium 64bit but also happens on XP Home 32bit on all PCs I own and when WinUAE is first started.

Thanks. I forgot to remove some debugging code that crashes if specific paths are not available.

It is time to find my brown paper bag..

Thanks. Hmm.. This is something that "shouldn't" happen..

Does it work in windowed mode? Does it work if you change color depth setting to 32 in WinUAE GUI display panel? (before starting emulation)

Yes, happens in windowed mode and different color depth settings, too.
Beta9 is working fine, problem started with beta10
