On real Amiga 1200 i have to disable CPU caches in the "Early startup-sequence.
Anyway its a little bit odd, that "DLM" says in the intro, that there was no protection, or did i misread the text in the intro?
It is cracked, looks like someone was being sarcastic. They cracked it from the bootblock like I did

I get the impression the intro was done first, and then the cracker found the protection before it was released and then couldn't be bothered to redo the intro.

So its definitelly cracked, althought its difficult to find out, if all checksum checks have been succesfully removed.
Thank you for the help.

The crack routine is quite big like mine was, so I would say it is not 100% cracked

I just had a look and the DLM crack is NOT 100%, 7/13 checksums weren't found...

Yes, whenever the game reaches any of the 7 missed checksums the game will crash.

Thanks, one more question, is the protection on disk 1 only?

Yeah, it's all in the main file which is on disk 1.

Stingray only needs the original disk 1 to be able to do the install, he can take the other disks from the other versions as all the protection code is contained on disk 1, and doesn't require the original protection track as it doesn't pass anything meaningful back.

I actually already made installers for all KO3 versions (ECS/AGA, European Challenge), just need to create the install packages one day (and fix a problem with a corrupted file in one version). =)

Just checked my slave sources, so far only the IPF versions (plus the Rednex cracks) are supported, I'm sure I have the multi-language version somewhere too, I remember lolafg sent me the images and I wanted to add support for that version too.

HELLFIRE PRESENTS
iNFOFiLE to Kick Off '96
Type: Football
Supplier: iGGY
Cracker: LaZZer
Number of Disks: 3
Protection: Serial Track + 13 checksums
its similar like the protection, which "Stingray" mentioned for Kick Off 3

All Anco copy protection is the same, and regardless, Anthrox still had to fix the Hellfire version of Kick Off 96.

.. but this was not the fault by "Hellfire", rather fault by "Anco", to be precise

Fix as in crack properly! It can't be Ancos fault the protection was too difficult for Hellfire!

I think ATX "only" fixed the memory allocation routines, can't really remember though, too long ago.
