phipscube this is just amazing.
So how much will you sell it for? God, I honestly wonder how much it would be worth at this point... |

I don't think that so heavily custom machines are meant to be sold as is
(I know cause I sold my own beefed A1200D PPC in parts). The problems are the following: - First and most important is that is very damn hard for you to part, all of your hard work to foreign hands. Even if it's your best friend, such custom mods and work, were meant for you to experiment cause it's the journey and not the destination that matters - Unless someone takes it very carefully (collection only), any serious moving could harm all this internal mods! ANY postal service would definitely destroy it. - Due to heavy custom mod, problems can arise softwarewise but also hardwarewise. I don't think that someone parting with such a custom beast, can spare endless time into supporting someone who bought it and doesn't know how the mods were performed in order to troubleshoot (not to mention that most potential buyers of such beast don't know even the basics - lol soz about that but it's a rule) Phipscube's A1200 is a work of art, dedication and knowledge and because I had a similar beefed project in the past, I know about the endless problems, troubleshooting and headbanging he's done until he reached this certain point Anywayz... keep us posted bro. \o/ |

the workbench rtg screen remains in front while the AGA demo is running behind this happen also on winuae so I think it is not a hardware issue of your automonitorswitch use a program like nocybergraphx for example : nocybergrapshx demo.exe also you can use JST JST demo.exe execute |

Thanks guys
@Steve, don't worry mate, it will get out to a show at some point, hopefully Play 2012 in Manchester. @Delshay, thanks for the comments. I've pretty much calmed down with the damage, its there, its something of the deep past and as far as i'm concerned its working, And has been working flawlessly since I bought it from Stan in 2010. @wXR, I would never sell this as it is, Marios summed it up to a tee (cheers mate) there is too much of my own personal work in this machine to just sell it. As far as i'm concerned right now its staying with me forever @marios, +1 mate, you are exactly right I do think its a shame you decided to part with your beast, but your awesome A4000 makes up for it @clauddio, thanks for the advice mate, i'll try those tips I realised its a limitation of the Auto Switch software really, but its not often that something doesn't switch over. But i've got the manual override now and I can see why Ratte's switch has this too now. |

@mfilos @phipscube
haha makes sense of course. I can't imagine how you ever parted with yours, mfilos! And phipscube, your mods are starting to make me wonder if you shouldn't have been hired to design next-gen Amigas in the first place! Last edited by wXR; 07 April 2012 at 16:26. |

@wXR
I'm enjoying my uber custom A600 and A4000 a lot more than my A1200 mate. That's why I don't feel bad already. Apart from that, the former A1200 beast that now has all the previous stuff plus an ACA1231 will go as a gift to my good friend Keropi |

if i had so much work like that i put it on a safe that is not a thing to sell for no money,that is a new amiga not those st...p..id amiga one or x1000 or the hell of it .
this computer a new case and some retouching on the fast pcb making a more professional look would be certainly a new amiga model, i am actully geting i hope a new deal for a huge tower for my 1200 spare board for the main pcb don´t suffocate under heat and maybe in future one of those boards that you ptu the pci´s on the case ,plus i will get some lcd displays exploding amiga logo and stuff,NICE Excellent work on this one and the professional look on those fan near the conector of power is impressive keep AMIGA high |

When a CPU or socket is soldered back onto the PCB depending on the removal method if the CPU/socket is removed again there is a *very high* possibility of permanent damage.
The card is working so from my point of view from what I can see I would *never* remove the CPU/socket again. Last edited by delshay; 25 May 2012 at 06:38. |

At long last correct size heatsink/fan on the Bvision. The large chip to the right does not need cooling but its there on my Bvision(s) to circulate air in this area. Desktop A1200.

delshay you are right but with a smd iron with precise temperature like 300,312 degrees you can solder with some confidence,of couse using heatgun your options go down like 50/50
but for an expensive card like that i would do it too ,unfortunatly my mtec board doesn´t give me many options have to be very inventive but if you are dealing with 50MHZ and big motorolla like mc68050 and so you really have to do something about heat. |

The attention to detail on these mods is fantastic. The very first on the thread, the slot loading DVD mod is truly a work of art. Glad this was bumped or I'd have missed it!!
