Mahendra Tallur was so kind and asked me for an interview for his website "Obligement – l'Amiga au maximum" some weeks ago. I happily agreed and was pleasantly surprised when I got some not-so-common question.
Mahens questions gave me the opportunity to provide a bit of insight into my inner soul and why I actually develop retro games. It´s weekend, guys. Spend a few minutes with Mahen and me reflecting upon the influence of the demoscene on the Reshoot-series and the role of the community within retro development – as far as RESHOOT PROXIMA 3 is concerned. Happy reading and please share if you feel like it. This link takes you to the english version of Mahens interview, this to the french. |

Be part of the Magic: We thought some of you may want to be part of our development process. We want our development steps to be as open and transparent as possible, that´s why we set up a Discord channel and opened it to all of you. Feel free to check in occasionally and follow discussions Kev, Martin and I might have regarding color of background, speed of music, size of sprites, things like that.
Read all about it right here And please, please no discussions about why our channels are open to read for all of you, but only Patrons of @invent and me got write-permission. It´s because it´s our decision, it´s because Patrons are really dedicated, it´s because we want people to join who are really interested in the project. We hope for your understanding. Thanks a lot, looking forward to see some of you there. Btw. patronage with Discord access is just 5 US Dollars / one beer per month. Last edited by buzzybee; 17 October 2020 at 23:10. |

Finally, the playership is ready for takeoff!
@invent and me, we worked about one year on the evolution of the player vessel.
I put up a new video on my Patreon-website and on youtube, celebrating the final iteration of the playership for RESHOOT PROXIMA 3. Please follow the link to my Patreon site if you want to learn a bit more about the background; or watch the video right here [ Show youtube player ]. |

Does the game benefit from Fast mem or does it run optimally on vanilla AGA 020 machine? |

We plan to release a CD32-compatible CD-ROM, so yes - vanilla AGA 020 machine should be sufficient to run the game, like with RESHOOT R. The game does use Fastmem though.

Invent and I, we are constantly pingpong-ing various visual ideas. One of my personal goals was to implement a kind of Axelay-effect. Spent the last three weeks on this.
If you want to know a bit more about how this visual effect works and why it´s called sun stage, please read the new free-for-all-posting on my Patreon site. Please check out this video of the sun stage on real Amiga 1200. [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by buzzybee; 19 November 2020 at 11:03. |

Implementing effects never seen on an amiga game in 2020 is really impressive!

Gameplay is all. Just in case that Invent and I could not think of any ideas to use this visual scenario for framing great action, we will throw it away (like so many ideas we tested before).

Sorry, I owe you guys an update or two. As I started a new job in February, my focus has shifted a little bit - but development on RESHOOT PROXIMA 3 continues, albeit a bit slowed down.
Anyway, together with @invent I currently work on finalizing the themes and color design of the stages. So here is a quick screenshot of stage 3. |

@Girolamo85: It will be possible sometime this autumn, as I am planning to release a demoversion.
@wairnair: More like late 2021, as this is the current release target for RESHOOT PROXIMA 3. You may always support the work of ours (Kevin Saunders and me) via Patreon, of course - very much appreciated! |
