They are nice suggestions but I'm a commit to v1 kinda guy. Any changes now would mean CD32 and floppy users need new media, so it feels a little unfair they can't get any of the benefit. But, I do love the idea of a QR code to upload your scores. I had toyed with the idea before. So maybe next game.

Yeah i think so! There are 3 files, 1 is cecconoid.slave and the icon has the tooltype is set to SLAVE=cecconoid.slave Going to redownload, suspect data has scrambled somehow! |

So.. if you're going to Kickstart next weekend, I'll be setting a score on Eugatron. First person to beat it will get a copy of my cave sessions album.

If you are looking for the next impossible challenge, there's a recent RPG game called Skald, which utilizes C64 visual style but in a much more modern game delivery. Having that game on Amiga would be quite something. Speaking of that style, I understand that the original author of Cecconoid is probably coming from a ZX Spectrum background, but I have to wonder if he'd ever make the sequel with the C64 Cybernoid visual style |

update: WHDLoad ran fine on a real Amiga (as expected!). No issues whatsoever.
For whatever weird reason it does not run on the latest Amikit, would need others to help verify this I guess or perhaps is just my specific setup! |

I take it the WHDLoad splash screen appears when you run it on Amikit?

The same files I copied across to real amiga and ran with no hitch either so the files are sound, just Amikit being awkward I think! Was to try it with a proper dual stick instead of cd32 pad on amiga so not a major disaster by any stretch. |

When viewing the folder, view by Icon only.. or...
Rename like this.. cecconoid.slave -> cecconoid_whd.slave cecconoid.info -> cecconoid_whd.info then edit the icon info so it points to cecconoid_whd.slave |

I must be completely dumb, but I can not force WinUAE (4.10) to adopt my USB joypad schema for shooting. I give up for now.

Why do you still use 4.10?

It is a SPECTACULAR game! The rule is simple: lose your orb and you lost your game.
I am looking forward to play it on my real Amiga using two joys and I can't wait my box to come. Here is lemon entry https://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=4992 Please H0ffman check it and let me know in case of mistakes. Last edited by Predseda; 19 June 2024 at 21:58. |

Amiga Addict issue 24 has a two page guide and map of all the achievements.... There is a lot more hidden in the corners.
Side note: The PiStorm crew gave me some pointers on how to add compatibility for it. Game works but the particle engine SMC b0rks on it because it caches chip ram. I have built a replacement slave for it. It might even work on the Vampire?! Anyway, replacement slave file will be released in due course. |
