Also get some lemon juice and baking soda to kill the acid that leaked out
because any acid on the board is still active..

Ok, but mix them together or? As I read somewhere else I think you should either use lemon juice or bakingsoda + water..

Am I wrong?
And what would the ratio be when mixing?

I know the clock won't save when powered off, but why would you want a clock on an A500 when you don't have a disk in it with WB on it?

There can't be anything you would want a systemclock for right?

I don't know, but if it "works" without a battery I might just as well go with that. I just want the RAM part of it
You're quite right. There is no need to replace the battery, because everything will work with the exception of the RTC keeping time. If that bothers you, then just set the clock each time you power it up.

A variety of colours was used for these LEDs during their production run. The rule seems to be that when one colour ran short, they just used another instead.

Use only lemon juice to neutralize the alkaline battery spillage and remove the resulting corrosion. Then wash away the lemon juice with tap water or isopropyl alcohol. Leave to dry for three days or so if tap water is used.

Ah great prowler, thanks for all that info! I will spill some lemon juice on the board tonight and then wash away with some alcohol.

Oh and to keep things on topic, I bought a vintage 1963 Barbie Bubble Cut with gold-white striped swimsuit in original package and it looks great. Just waiting for it to get delivered :P

Btw. I love this forum! Fast and easy responses from friendly people
If I could I would write in this thread; "Today I bought the English Amiga Board" just because it's great

Apply the lemon juice with a 12mm paint brush with the bristles cut short (to 10mm or so). It won't require as much juice as you might think.

In short of a paint brush, would it be ok with a cotton swab? I normally use that with alcohol when cleaning residue of boards and that works like a charm.

Yes, if that works for you when cleaning residue (solder flux, etc.) from pcbs, then it should be ok for doing this job too.

Actually I use a paint brush for both jobs, so there can't be much difference between that and a cotton swab for getting the job done effectively.

Hehe ok I just don't like that the isopropyl "melts" the plastic on a brush, that's why I'm not using it :P

Thanks for all your help!

eBay mate

Got a pick up only (Erith, Kent) bundle with the N64, was untested and didn't include the MegaDrive its self - looks like I lucked out! MD was £4(£9inc P&P) BIN on eBay but its pretty tatty, I should have picked one up at a car boot instead, in fact I might still...

@terexuk,

Yeah the HTC rocks, even had a great Amiga Emulator

Finally received my Dingoo A320. After installing the Dingux bootselector it's working wonders actually. Amazing little device!

It feels a bit "cheapish", like a rip-off of PSP when looking at pictures and such.
But you don't have that feel I guess?

Not at all. The default Dingoo menu is indeed a PSP / PS3 ripoff and the emulators that come with it, are pretty aweful. However, when Dingux is installed and it boots to Linux, it's an awesome retrogaming fix. I have currently installed Sega Mastersystem, Sega Genesis, NES, Mame, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, PC Engine/Turbografx, Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 and all run at 60 frames per second. The build is quite sturdy as well, surprisingly.

For Amiga emulation, I just have to stick with my laptop.
