"Spiral" symbol that you can see on some panels in Hired Guns (taken from the map editor as I could not remember which level it is featured in), top left, and a similar symbol (mirrored though) in the Chaos Engine:
Not sure if such a symbol has a meaning in real life, but while playing CE I noticed it and it immediately reminded me of HG. |

I see what you mean. At first I would think it should have more "arms" but it seems some galaxies only have two of them.
like the NGC 1300 (3rd screenshot in first link) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiral_galaxy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NGC_1300 It could make sense in Hired Guns. I'll need to check the manuals to see if the galactic systems it is set in are detailed. Seems a bit more strange in the Chaos Engine context. |
