If you're referring to my raycaster then not much progress there. I've made some improvements to the game itself, but it's mainly been fixing the audio, rendering and enemy movement (enemies don't walk through walls anymore ).

I still do have some ideas on how to improve the speed of the raycaster, but really don't know when I'll have the time and motivation to work on it.

Did you assume I wasn't aware of CD32's Kickstart v3.1 rev 40.60 (1993) changes?

Again, what's the performance of the Kickstart ROM 3.1's WriteChunkyPixels on stock A1200 again? Hint: WriteChunkyPixels is slow.

Your attempt to present Commodore's WriteChunkyPixels efforts was the optimized game-ready is absurd.

Commodore's WriteChunkyPixels efforts weren't fast enough.

I wasn't born yesterday and didn't notice Gloom's C2P-optimized alternatives. http://de.aminet.net/aminet/game/demo/GloomC2P10.readme

Your attempt to present Commodore's WriteChunkyPixels efforts as optimized game-ready is absurd. Your argument is NOT reality when real-life 3rd party programmers are optimizing the C2P to its maximum extent.

I also agree with Karlos, to get back on topic, which is: the Amiga didn't get a HW chunky mode. It's a fact. Now, how can the Amiga do even greater things?
Commodore's WriteChunkyPixels is slow.

PS; Commodore's WriteChunkyPixels API is too slow for the job.

Stop trying to put words in my mouth. I didn't say that. I specifically said that they didn't provide a 'blitter optimized c2p'.

Not fast enough for what?

Again, I didn't say that. Perhaps you need glasses, because you don't seem to be able to read the words I wrote.
