And give Thief 3 a go; the Cradle level (quite late in the game) is amazing.
I finished Thief 3, i got a lot more frightened from doom 3, did you play doom 3 at all ? It's far, very FAR even, from just some simple jump scares. Dead space is nothing against doom 3 either, for me at least.
Never played Silent Hill, but played all the resident evils, the F.E.A.R. serie, and a lot of other games, and still nothing comes close enough to the doom 3 ambiance for me. Maybe the first F.E.A.R does at some points come that close, but only in "jumps scares" like you call them, not constantly like doom 3 does it.

I liked a lot more the first thief. 3rd was ok, but i was rather disapointed. Never played the 2nd one, but guess i will have to affter reading what Gimbal said.

Edit: maybe i mix up titles hmm, for me "The dark project" is thief 3, and thief 1 is just "Thief"

Three times, because I hoped higher difficulty levels would make it more fun. It wasn't. Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Except Silent Hill Which is not an FPS or zombie shooter by the way.

No, the titles in order are:

Thief: the Dark Project
Thief: Gold (the Dark Project with level improvements)
Thief 2: the Metal Age
Thief: Deadly Shadows (AKA Thief 3)

Seriously, go play Thief 2. But beware; if you have a multicore processor you need to do a trick to get it to work.

Well, my Thief 3 original box is called: "Dark Project: Deadly Shadows"

Maybe the french names are just different than the ones you have.

Seems to be the case, with the series being called "Dark Project" In French. Apparently, German versions were also TDP up to the 2nd opus.

Look at the alternate titles and the Covert Art:

And Im also looking for outrun on the megadrive since I finnaly got a "normal" scart cabel

But perhaps Im going to play Zool for the million time... never gets old !

However having the Glandular fever for a while I perhaps can't enjoy video games

Re-playing Mass Effect 1 on Xbox360, This game is just incredible, it's scenario is fantastic, better than Star wars, alien or what ever other movies that exists

In fact i even preffer ME1 to ME2 because of the better scenario, despite the technical superiority of ME2.

I dream of a Mass effect 3 that has a fantastic scenario like ME1 and that is as good technically speacking as ME2

Playing a healing/protection focused sentinel class, in hardcore mode, wish me luck

Been playing Crysis 2 for the PC... I was considering getting it for either the Xbox 360 or PS3 but it seems the console versions are crap. Anyway it seems to be a pretty good game but i've mainly been playing the multiplayer mode and have only done a small part of campaign mode.

I'm hoping a DX11 patch arrives soon! It still looks great using DX9 (better than console versions) and it runs great on max settings (i suspect it's more optimised than the original Crysis ).

I got hold of the leaked Beta but it runs too slow on my system, when I upgrade I'll defo buy this one, looks awesome.

Strage the game was saying 60fps but was really laggy - I think that my Video card was delivering the frames (GTX260) but bottle neck in the DDR400 from my old Socket 939 Mobo/AMD 4400+

Got my eye on a nice AMD X6 setup

Agree FPS are PC only for me too!

Almost Snap! I installed Steam on my Netbook recently and looking for games to play on the reduced hardware I've been playing Half Life Source, Opposing Force and Blue Shift again - I loved these games the fist time round

I also been playing some of the older FPS's like Doom 3/Unreal II and Quake 4, but I think I mentioned that a little while back.

I have my Netbook with me at work lol for lunch time Gaming, got it packed with Emulators, etc. Toca Race Driver 3 is a nice game on this setup too!

I've got the ASUS N10JH (With NVidia 512mb 3D Chip )

Steve.
