Thanks for all the hard work. I've been looking for the latest, most complete collection of amiga games and software so that I can get all nostalgic but have been finding it a wild goose chase so far! Hopefully this is the path to the holy grail lol...

FTP is up though, I can connect just fine with my own username and login.
Maybe it's being hammered by "ftp" users ?

Remove the :81

I did not think anyone still used the old 81 and 444 ports so I removed them yesterday as they havent been needed for a few years

If you find it references 81 or 444 in a post here or otherwise, let me know.

Registering of new users on the FTP is currently broken.

Seems the script that checks if you are a member of the EAB forums, have 50 posts and the last post is not older than 5 days, have broken with a python update here.

I've contacted modrobert who wrote it to hopefully have it fixed. For now, please just leave a post here that you want to register and I'll do it for you and PM the password back to you.

Really?

After "PC" platform (wintel or whatever you define it) that has a continuous evolution of software since the 80ies, Amiga and C64 are by far the most active old platforms that still have new software (and even hardware) development.

EAB is not even complete (way far from it).

I've yet to get a response from modrobert regarding the broken python script. If anyone else has python experience and could have a look at the script to get it working with python 3.7.6, please let me know. I suspect its an easy fix as its complaining about 'urllib2' which apparently is no longer part of python 3 if I googled correctly =)

For the time being, I've modified the backend php scripts to call python2 instead of just "python".

In short, new user registrations at the FTP works again now.
