What Greg says.
But what nexus says (but what I didn't mean) also holds: The settings are read from a firmware. I also know where in the address space of the PPC the firmware resides. It is read-only....I think. |

and besides the reviews on hardware sites all mine have qimonda DDR400 which we are currently running at 266 as thats what they had it at so i see lots of room for improvement on the speed of this card im hoping it can do 667mhz like its brothers can(MPC8347/8349) ofc with a active heatsink i bet those tiny chipset coolers be fine for that and it has mounts so should be no issues just fyi the 8349 can run 333mhz bus which i wanna test if the 8343 can hit that Last edited by nexus; 15 August 2018 at 02:20. |

More RAM is better than more speed for this card IMHO.

why anyone who upgrades this version card should use DDR2 but really DDR400 is DDR2 DDR400=DDR2-400 difference is DDR400=200MHz bus clock where DDR2-400 is 100MHz
both are PC(2)-3200 the fact it has a DDR2 controller just lets you run faster DDR2 while getting lower timings and more ram though you have only 2 spots and you need x16 chips 60pin need to cherry pick through my stash Last edited by nexus; 15 August 2018 at 02:53. |

All other stuff without sound or 3D acceleration works. -> A1200 support is just a bonus at this moment and not official <- Edit: Oooh and Q2 in 320x240 in software and without sound (-nosound) on the Radeon. Last edited by Hedeon; 15 August 2018 at 14:46. Reason: Quake2 on the A1200, yeah! |

Alright, nabbed one of those "LittleWeenie" cards nexus linked me to. Anyone has some advice for a dirt-cheap PCI-to-PCIe Adapter I can buy?
Thanks ![]() |

If cards with an MPC7410 work, then do/could other cards with MPC7457, MPC 7747a and MPC7448 work as well?
Or is it less to do with the CPU and more the bridge chip used MPC/TSi107 or Harrier? Just wondering how big the pool of potential PMC cards actually is. |

Do the Bigfoot k1/m1 cards require 3.3V or it can work with 5V mediator also?

looking at the killer cards that are PCI they look to be using both 3.3v and 5v power pins so guess 5v are gonna need a mod
for those with 5v mediators you could always add 3.3v power to something like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-Male-to...gAAOSwNNVbCRKK if you have 3.3v psu or 5v to 3.3v converter https://www.ebay.com/itm/2A-DC-5V-23...kAAOSwCLNbMJ94 though it might still be 5v compatible hard to tell considering all the chips used on it all my mediators are 3.3v so cant test Last edited by nexus; 17 August 2018 at 10:00. |
