something else is probably also interacting with the door/lift texture start offset, that's my gut feeling anyhow.

ok, so I had to itch that scratch before sleep.

tested with your mod and could not get the door textures to work on the 'big red door' at the end of the first corridor until I removed the switches that held it closed.

strangely the first door (med bay entrance/exit) where you start on level A opens by itself when starting the game.

Ah, so it's locked doors it still affects. Thats an important factor add to the issue description.

The first couple of doors in the med bay are touch activated, so they open as soon as you bump into them. Or are you saying it was open before you even walked up to it?

I think it's probably fine to merge what you have already then. Unlocked doors and lifts at least can be retextured properly.

Given the amount of code duplication in other areas (e.g. the player code), it wouldn't surprise me if there's a separate branch that deals with locked doors and lifts.

the door opened on its own and stayed open, to be fair I might have clicked something by accident while editing the 'big door'.

Well... I pushed a bunch of level edits, so feel free to redownload from the retexturing branch (f for fun).

I wouldn't mind a second opinion on the reworked quake texture. To make it less incongruent, I've redone it and put the rusted supports over the floor hexagon tile (scaled) with some damage variations. It's plastered all over level C.

Speaking of C, it now follows on from B, you start at the bottom of the shaft you jump into at the end of B. It's had a bit of polish but overall it's still pretty terrible.

It's super easy to do in leveled. Plus, the door and lift isn't selected by clicking into the zone, you cycle through the list in the tool window so I've edited the wrong door or lift countless bloody times thanks to that.

I just pushed a couple of 'fixes' that hopefully help with the door/lift texturing when held by buttons/entities. not a huge amount of testing done yet but seems ok.

That appears to be working as expected! In my level A, the quarantine isolation door renders the texture at the correct offset. Excellent work!

That's going to make secret doors and stuff a lot easier to add.
