Does the a500 keyboard have the same signals as a4000 keyboards? I do have the soldering skills to make a little adapter for one of my a500 keyboards if that works

The Q1 installation/removal trick also works with NMB boards. :-)

Try watch video file direct from DVD/CD as simple file via button Play File (not Play DVD) in GUI_MUI_AMP. I recomend AMP2_BETA from here:

www.amidog.se/amiga/bin/WIP/AMP2-BETA-040716.lha

You will have synchronize, but you willn't choise subtitles, or difrent sound track.

I think, that good option is FF_PLAY from FF_MPEG pack.
We have FF_mpeg for WOS, but there isn't FF_Play.
There is also FFmpeg with FFplay for 68k CPU, and with this pack, NetSurf can play video from YouTube

Look this video:

FFPlay can play many formats, also HTML5, so we could have simple player to video from Youtube!

MPlayer should be buildable without too much drama.
VLC from what I can see wants a working pthreads which we don't have in our SDK, found this out from GemRB but that might just be the libVLC-which is not really needed for GemRB.
FFMpeg should be doable as well, there are many embedded versions one of which should work. Just needs to be done.

FFMpeg is in VLC or it can use its own
uses the libavcodec or its own LibVLC

"The libavcodec library from the FFmpeg project provides many of VLC's codecs, but the player mainly
uses its own muxers and demuxers. It also has its own protocol implementations"

So, the Killer Nic is sightly better than a Sonnet at 500MHz? Who would have thought.

But Killer NIC M1 has one bigger problem- not enought memory (only 128MB)?

the PCI 32bit is 64MB DDR
the PCI-E is 128MB DDR2
so they will need a swap out
we havent tested the pci to pcie adapters that are same price as the killer nic
but if they work then you can use those and it would also add to availability

sold as
PCI 32bit 64MB-DDR stock Bigfoot K1 333MHz or M1 400MHz(K heatsink) and K1 in DELL/Alienware XPS part#R088J

not tested yet
requires Startech PCI to PCI-E adapter(PCI1PEX1) or (PCIX1PEX4)<PCI-X to PCI-E X4(X16 slot)
PCI-E 128MB-DDR2 Visiontech 2100 Xeno Pro and DELL/Alienware XPS part#C45ND

Are the quake 3 timedemo scores using lightmap or vertex lighting?

just fyi these might do 667MHz at 333MHz bus or you could get adventurous and swap for a MPC8349 which does run that
add some DDR2 and you have a cheap winner over sonnet easy
MPC8343/8347/8349 are same family pin compatible

all the killer nics use the same MPC8343 cpu
heatsink isnt needed for 400MHz as the pci-e run that without one
that big K heatsink was just for show and its way over kill as its like 8oz full nickel plated copper
but i do love it looks awesome tbh

Looks like the Killer Instinct "K", which I'm pretty certain is where they got the inspiration from. ^^
