I have the following games that may be of interest, but don't want to spend hours scanning if you don't need/what the scans, so could you please let me know?

Blob - Manual

Heimdall 2 AGA - Manual

James Pond 2 AGA - Manual

Christmas lemmings 93 - Manual

Morph AGA - Manual Box etc

PGA European Tour AGA - Manual, Box, Disks

PGA Tour golf Plus Edition - Manual

Ryder Cup Johnnie Walker - Manual

Sports Masters - Manual
Hello Mate did you ever find the motivation to scan any of these?

Sorry if I missed it, I was on my Hols recently?

Motivated by above poster () I want to contribute to HoL with screenshots and boxart and manual that I have in my collection which are not already on HoL.

Is this FTP still the way to go?

Address = ftp.abime.net
Username = hol
Password = incoming

Also is there a complete and updated list as to what games are missing stuff?

Regards

It's quite hard to say which games are actually missing something. Some never came with a box etc. You could list your games and we could check if by the looks of it something is missing, but in the end the only real confirmation is that you check if everything that you have for a game is already on HOL.

Thank you very much in advance

Great I will loan a scanner later today and start compiling through the next days. I have already found some games that I can contribute with, but going through them all will take some time..(Around 300) I'll just start with the games I know about

To add to TCD's post, you can however use a workaround if you want to check if a game is missing something by using HOL advanced search:
http://hol.abime.net/advsearch

by selection in the appropriate dropdown box(es): Have (disk scan/box scan/etc....) -> no

You can either do such a listing and check which games you have.

Or you can enter then name of the game in the top search box (like a normal search, then select the appropriate dropdown box(es) and hit Search.

For instance, games called Turrican which have a box scanned:
http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?...nb_boxscan=yes

It might not show for instance if we have a different box than yours for instance (budget release, different boxes for different countries).
So it is only interesting for checking if there is something missing.

But ofc, making a list and letting us (TCD probably ) check is a very good solution.

That is indeed the 'brute force' way to check if a game has *anything* in that category If a game has any kind of additional documentation in the manual section, it would mean there is the manual already. It's good for a first check maybe, but too much would go amiss if that's the only check

Yes there is a lot to check for... Different versions, manuals, registration cards, disk versions, posters, stickers, and miscellaneous stuff they have thrown in there

Here is a recent video of my collection, until I can make a list...

My guilt trip worked!!!

Good on you TroelsDK

Don't worry TCD, lilalurl and I are here to support and guide you through this surprisingly addictive process.

I know you've loads mate, but just do a bit at a time you'll never do it all in one or 2 sittings take your time and try to enjoy it

I found doing the boring stuff first manuals etc gives you the box art etc to look forward to.

Don't do a list of what you have which isn't on HOL, I found this put pressure on me and took the fun out of it, when you've scanned a box or manual or disk let us know it's ready for adding to HOL.

Also the most painful part of this isn't the scanning, it's the cropping and rotating the images afterwards, to help mate we can do this for so you can concentrate on scanning the images...(something we can't help with unless we get on a plane)

If it can do 300 DPI (and it really should), you're fine
