Here is sysinfo for the A600.... Distortion is from my camera
first 2 is base 1 mb A600, last 2 pics are with the 4mb ram board. now 4mb board attached.... For orders i will create a fror Sale thread on Amibay either tonight or tomorrow and will take orders from there. Those people who have already expressed interest elsewhere (here, my direct email etc), will still be looked after based on chronological order (Who asked first). I will probably ship the first orders on Friday or Monday, i dont want to throw them out without doing the memcheck and a little warming up etc Last edited by kipper2k; 25 July 2012 at 15:26. |

Holy guacamole !
33% speed boost If this had been the default configuration at launch time (or at least 1 chip + 2 fast), A600 would have been a serious machine. Me wanty. Can't remember if I already said that somewhere, so better to repeat it |

Maybe, I have someone who can check that. if it doesn't fit then i'll try to alter the design to make it fit.
@thread. I have posted a for sale on Amibay for this item. For those people who have already expressed interest, you are at the top of the list, any new requests on this thread will compete with Amibay based on time placed Thanks to all for your interest |

The price of the original design from this expansion was fully assembled only 26€, and i thought that was expensive..... Didn't somebody here in this thread say that it must be possible to build a fully assembled board for about 10€? |

6,9 x 39 = 269,1 SEK
8,5 x 26 = 221 SEK Not a big difference. |

By the time everything is sourced and you pay for all parts, mailing, duties, development etc then your 15 euro doesnt come close, especially when UPS charge their brokerage fees for any delivery coming from outside of Canada where most parts come from. The price for the boards are the same price that NedoPC was charging for his, the price for the blank boards themselves are almost identical so i cannot see how you are saying the cost is high. Go on Ebay and try to buy a 512k ram for an A500 or a 1m board for the A600, i think you'll see the price of my boards are very cheap here's a sample cost on ebay for you. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Commodore-Ami...item2c66763edd |

This shouldn't be an attack on you, or your products!!! The normal auction price for a 512kb board in germany is between 3 and 10€.. Sure you can earn money with that expansion, but this was never my intention! If somebody can get the RAM chips for 2,50€, then he is definitely able to build the expansion for 15€! |

Hey, kipper2k.
If i were you i would ignore complains about high price (because its not high). There are always people who wish to buy everything at parts price. This might be OK if you have to run small batch so you wont get bothered about it, but if there is quite amount of it, it consumes your precious time you could spent for e.g with family or doing something life would reward you. I will only say that i sold 9.5MB expansion for about 75 EURO and i saw many times people who get their hand on it, to sold it for similar price (it was auction with bidding). Yo can get an idea that people would give you more then they initially saying. Unless doing it is your solid goal no matter what, nobody have right to take part of your life without fair exchange, trying to force it is even worse. BTW, sysinfo shows some boost because there are no waitstates when accessing fast unlike CHIPmem when its busy, but if you try to test memory speed its same as CHIPRAM. Only one true possibility to boost speed is to add faster CPU with faster memory. |
