And why are not all supported? Sorry, really want to understand it. The hardware should be no problem for this quite simple adventure.

maybe too much work ... And the Hardware can be a problem for some big games (640x480/800x600/24bit/audio format/ etc...), 060 is limited. There should be a 080 or more amithlon / winuae

If you need a ScummVM version with a specific engine that no other port offers, try compiling your own: https://github.com/AmigaPorts/scummvm-amigaos3
The main reason why ports focus on only a few engines is probably executable size. If one was to put all engines into one executable, we‘d be looking at probably 16megs for the scumm executable alone

It already has more than 12MB, for my Amigas no problem.

Back in the day (2006-ish) I had a great A1200 setup with ZIV busboard and mediator, PicassoIV/Concierto, Voodoo3, ethernet etc. and a blizzard 1260 with SCSI-KIT. I remember running both Freespace and MI3 smootlhy on that machine, and played through large parts of MI3 on my Amiga. I sold most of the parts when moving for studies in order to pay rent and have been buying back stuff a bit at a time these last 4-5 years. I now have a pretty similar setup with a Mediator, Blizzard 1260/SCSI, Voodoo3 and ethernet etc. however I'm not getting close to the performances I remember. MI3 and freespace runs but Freespace is only playable on lowest setting and MI3 is pretty much a slideshow. Am I misremembering things? Is MI3 smooth on a powerful 68k like I remember? Is my current machine simply not optimized? I spent a lot of time tweaking back then and I've forgotten most of the stuff I installed, and I was obviously using a much older version of ScummVM. Just thought I'd ask here as you guys probably know whats possible in regards to these scummvm titles.

Check out the original system requirements of MI3 and then you'll understand that it will never be playable on an 060 at less than 100 MHz.

Here's my old AGA 060 @ 80 MHz doing the best it could, RTG would improve things slightly but not with a Mediator because the bus is so slow.

Yeah, when I powered up MI3 the other day I had a feeling that I had been misremembering the performance of the Voodoo3 on a mediator. I remember it as being BLAZINGLY fast
Either way; it's faster then my ZII-busboard was And Everything UP TO MI3 appears to be running beautifully, and the external MIDI/MT32-support is a fantastic addition!

Hello everyone, I need some help with ScummVM The RTG version just won't work for me. I have tried versions 1.5, 1.8 and 2.12 - the AGA versions work perfectly, but not the RTG versions. The error log says: "Could not switch to video mode (320 x 200)!

I tested the 320x200 8bit mode with "Screenmode" and "Picasso96Mode" - no problem. In my devs/monitors folder is only ZZ9000.

My configuration is: A4000D ZZ9000 320MB Ram SSD128GB(internal IDE) CyberstormMK3 060/50Mhz | OS3.1.4 BestWB Picasso96

Any Idea?

With version 1.5 you can use the ToolTypes to choose a higher resolution for the Game Launcher GUI, so you could experiment with that and see if you can at least get the Launcher running

EDIT: I tried different resolutions - same error :/

Yep.

If that doesn't work it means you cannot open any resolution screen which means that the ZZ9000 (or maybe your version is of P96) is incompatible with the way that I'm opening an RTG screen. The code that I use to open the RTG screen in ScummVM is the same code I use for all of my RTG ports and it's very standard and part of the API so I don't think my code is the issue.

I also installed "NewMode" to see what kind of screen ScummVM is going to open - but "NewMode" doesn't detect anything.

it's always like this: I start ScummVMRTG, then it's loading, then nothing happend :/

I use the Picasso96 Version from Aminet - is this compatible? Or do i need the P96 drivers from Icomp?

@Lizart There are two versions of P96 on Aminet. Are you using 2.0 or the older one?

Hi i'm using Picasso96 Version 2.0 with Picasso96API.library Version 2.300 (19.09.99) and in libs/picasso96 rtg.library Version 40.3945

Broken Sword 2 is enabled and works (tested on Vampire).

It start in fullscreen mode by default, but window mode doesn't seems to work at all .. atleast checking/unchecking the GUI options doesn't change the behaviour (always in fullscreen)
