Also it's 2015. We can 3D print a trapdoor. You could include a 3D printer ready model of the trapdoor for people who buy the case.

Sorry, I will be honest here and say I think the special editions are pointless. I don't want a machine signed by anyone or in any other way related to other entity. I just want an Amiga case.

Your rewards should be of other stuff related to Amiga.
If you DO want to have a special edition case, make sure the person or entity "supporting it" puts MONEY towards that support. I am thinking for example an "insert Amiga shop name here" case where part of the cost is subsidized by them. Otherwise, it honestly makes no sense.

Look at the C64 housing project. The rewards were nothing, just more cases. If you want to support more, you get more than one case. Simple.

I'm at least 50% more inclined to back this up now with the Amiga signage on it and hoping you are taking measures to reduce the cost of each unit. I thing not having a third mold unless a stretch goal is reached to be the best option.

- The KS goal for C64 housing was nothing compared to the goal we have. Thus we need to offer exclusive content to backers willing to get more than regular cases as this is also helping to reach the goal.
As the Amiga community is shrinking each day a bit more, the audience is quite small for such goal to be reached only with standard Amiga 1200 cases.

- Yes it was. You could get "Parts KIT" which contains trapdoors, plastic adapters with video out (VGA/DVI/HDMI), Sticker & screws.

We licensed it.



No real measures we could take to lower the cases prices at this time. If we were certain that 3000 backers would support the campaign this would have been different. Now we know it's not the case.

The cases we're going to manufacture are exact replicas of the original commodore Amiga 1200 cases. We're bound to this result.
Of course we'll include the enhancements we've planned to, but except the CF Slot, all enhancements need to be invisible from the outside.
These cases are real legit Amiga 1200 cases. Nothing less.

No we did not add mounts for A600 boards.

Yes we did consider it already.
The main issue we have is regarding the FPGA Arcade rear I/O, to fit in the A1200 rear I/O it would need some kind of a removable case rear panel.
So we'll let users to add mounting points themselves and tamper with their I/O themselves.

We simply can't add compatibility with all boards

You'd be surprised to know that most Backers from the first campaign did not pledged yet.
Also the previous campaign was too short, and held during summer vacations.

And on this second attempt, we know have an legal and fully branded Amiga 1200 case
