The game is a nice one and a lot of fun, even in single player. 4-player mode with joysticks will be best, though.

Some observations:

- intro sequence timing is obviously done by a delay loop. It's a bit too fast with a 68060
- one cannot select all options in main menu with 68060. Selector bar skips options even with tiniest stick movement. Another timing issue obviously.

Look into timer requests. And never ever put a fridge magnet next to a disk. I'm not the only one who had to rewrite the adf.

It's a bit sad the game won't run on plain 68000 (doesn't look too CPU consuming), but one cannot have everything. I'm going to enjoy this a lot, thank you!

I think there is an option to run the game on 68000 CPU. One of the developers has given a switch for that. However, I don't remember it right now.

i think they know

---

game works normal on a500 with aca500 14mhz many bobs (hundreds (300-800) on one frame) + code and we need 14mhz CPU. but with that we have 5 frames animatios for most tiles of background

---

this magnet is weak, it is impossible to destroy data on floppy disk with this kind of magnets... (but i will send that info to distributor who is responsible for writing this disks..)

---

if you have problems on 060 just turn turbo off at booting, game works fine on a1200 without any turbo card (on chip memory only)

That's not possible with an A4000.

Does the 020-Check look for a real 020 or is it just performing some calculations to measure CPU speed?

I have just played it for the first time, and I must say it is a nice game. Get to level 8 for the first run and I am looking forward to party play. Few minor bugs occured, but nothing serious.

What I don't understand is the structure of the CD. Look:
Code:
COPY_TO_ (drawer)
-S (drawer)
-- STARTUP_ (script)
TF (main executable, the game itself)
TF.INF

EXTRA (drawer)
- WALLPAPE (drawer)
ADF2DISK.LHA
ADF2DISK.REA
TF.ADF
WALLPAPE.INF

S (drawer)
- STARTUP_ (SCRIPT)

WINDOWS (drawer)
- AROS_RES.URL
- DOWNLOAD.URL

COPY_TO_.INF
EXTRA.INF
TF
TF.INF
Why the icons have their names crippled to ".INF" instead of ".info"? Why there is "S/STARTUP_" instead of "s/startup-sequence"? Is it some 8.3 MS-DOS quiz? Or maybe a CD replication error? What is the drawer COPY_TO_ meant for? Okay, I manage to run the game by doubleclicking TF, but I have to boot from workbench first, open the CD, then perform "show all files" as it doesn't have any icon etc. etc. Is the game supposed to be for skilled Amiga users? Shouldn't be something about launching the game written in manual? Or do I miss something? I run the game on A1200 with scsi CD-ROM (squirrel). Fortunately it is a single-file game.

Beside this, everything is really good, even the manual is professionally printed. I am really glad I bought a physical copy and must thank to all involved.

today i got 4player adapter - thx ! - i will try to add support soon

Predseda do You know any other Amiga user than experienced? :-) game is in one file so there is no need for installation script or manual info..

All files have normal names on asimcdfs and others "modern" cdrom drivers

i think Amiga users no need dump info like hundreds of requesters from Windows

THX FOR THE FEEDBACK!

Do I have something wrong with my OS or CD-ROM reading routine then?

Anyway, small bug report: in level 7 or eight more than one tank went into a side pipe and a flickering graphics glitch appeared in side panels.

The game works great on Amiga 1200 + ACA1221. I copied the "tf"-file to HD and wrote a small AmigaDOS-skript containing

Code:
execute WHDLoad-startup
tf
execute WHDLoad-cleanup
That way, network and USB are reenabled after exiting Tanks Furry.

Further observations after some hours of playtime:

- the game won't work on a 512kb-chipmem machine (complains about needing at least 512kb chipmem)
- the drive motor keeps running when booting the game from floppy (kinda oldschool, but also annoying)
- 7-year old boys absolutely love to play coop mode with their dad. They even prefer it over watching daddy play "World of Tanks". Highest praise you can get!

That is fine, but the startup alert says it wants only 512kb!

I apologize myself, filenames on the CD are okay, at least in a PC. Only my Amiga reads them in 8.3 by some reason.

Can someone who owns the game perhaps grab some screenshots for a HOL entry?
