Hi,
I think, this SPS release:
I Play - 3-D Soccer (1989)(Simulmondo)[2104]

should be changed to
I Play - 3-D Soccer (1989)(Simulmondo)(M4)[2104]

because there are 4 languages.

Hi,

Here are SPS bugs...

3D Construction Kit (1991)(Domark)[construction kit][1765]
should be
3D Construction Kit (1991)(Domark)[construction kit](M4)[1765]

-there are really 4 languages, tested

Manchester United - Premier League Champions v1.0 (1994-03-11)(Krisalis)[0135]
should be
Manchester United - Premier League Champions v1.0 (1994-03-11)(Krisalis)(M4)[0135]

-there are really 4 languages, tested

Gobliiins v1.1 (1992)(Coktel Vision)(M5)[0065]
should be
Gobliiins v1.1 (1992)(Coktel Vision)(DE)[0065]

-there is no possibility to change language in the game (like in [2487] multilanguage release). The object in the game and text between levels are in german language only!!! Tested

Time Runners 1 - Gateways in Time (1993)(Simulmondo)(M5)[2593]
should be
Time Runners 01 - Gateways in Time (1993)(Simulmondo)(M5)[2593]

-whole "Time Runners" series is signed like 03, 07, 12, 25...etc. That's why 01.

L'Aigle d'Or - Le Retour (1991)(Loriciel)(FR)[2600]
should be
Aigle d'Or, L' - Le Retour (1991)(Loriciel)(FR)[2600]

-moved article L' to the right position

Here, important question for me...

When any game have "En english" and "US english" language options together, so should it be written like 1 or 2 languages?
(By the way, Tosec "Language Flag Possibilities" don't know "En english" or "US english"... just one "English")

The current TNC nomenclature does not distinguish between GB and US english. However, the TNC can also change ...

Hi,
I waited for your confirmation. It's only one normal and logic way. If somewhere would be English, USA, Australian and Irish english, so would be there written M4?..... No. Still one english. Every database uses only one "English". Here are 4 bugs with this problem.

US and GB language problems:

Espana - The Games '92 (1992)(Ocean)(M6)[1327]
should be
Espana - The Games '92 (1992)(Ocean)(M5)[1327]

-there is GB and US english option, counted like 2, that's why (M5)

should be
Great Napoleonic Battles v1.00 (1991)(Impressions)(M5)[2992]

-there is GB and US english option, counted like 2, that's why (M5)
...fixed, Crashdisk

Legend of the Lost (1990)(Impressions)(M6)[2971]
should be
Legend of the Lost (1990)(Impressions)(M5)[2971]

...fixed, Crashdisk

Cohort II - Fighting for Rome (1993)(Impressions)(M4)[2941]
should be
Cohort II - Fighting for Rome (1993)(Impressions)(M3)[2941]

-there is GB and US english option, counted like 2, that's why (M3)
...fixed, Crashdisk

Other language problems:

First Contact (1990)(Rainbird)(M3)[0923]
should be
First Contact (1990)(Rainbird)[0923]

-there is only question: "Is your instruction manual in: 1.English?/2.French?/3.German?", but it's due to protection test, that's all. The game is only in english.
...fixed, Crashdisk

Son Shu Shi (1992)(Expose)[2513]
should be
Son Shu Shi (1992)(Expose)(en-fr)[2513]
or
Son Shu Shi (1992)(Expose)(en-fr)[review copy][2513]

-there are 2 languages
...fixed, Crashdisk

Persecutors (1987)(Softgang)[compilation Amiga Power Pack][1440]
should be
Persecutors (1987)(Softgang)(de-en)[compilation Amiga Power Pack][1440]

-There is no language option, but everything before the game is in german and english language together. The same case is Vader [2956] and Australo Piticus Mechanicus [0809], also without language options and everything before the game is in german and english language together, and also signed like (de-en).
...fixed, Crashdisk

Special language problem:

F.O.F.T. - Federation of Free Traders (1989)(Gremlin)(M3)[0613]

-there are 3 language options, but it influences keymaps only. The game is in english only. I don't know, if it is the right reason for (M3). It's up to you. You can also look at notes down there, here: http://hol.abime.net/514
...fixed, Crashdisk

Dongles:

I found in SPS list only one game with "dongle note". Namely:
RoboCop 3 (1992)(Ocean)(M3)[dongle][0805]

I think, It's very important note and all others (7x) should be added. I took infos from WinUAE (IO ports/protection dongle) and from EAB thread:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...ghlight=dongle

And of course, all games was really tested.

B.A.T. II (1992)(Ubi Soft)[1835]

Budget:

should be

-budget release
...fixed, Crashdisk

Head Over Heels (1991)(Hit Squad, The)[1674]
should be

How are these multi-language games "modified"? Weren't they originally released like that?

Wrong question. They are not modified. "M" means multiple languages.

As mentioned in another thread PDX version is probably not fully cracked, they missed probably those checksum check.
It is also mentioned that FLT version is also a bad crack, but i have doubt!?

Quote:
Sierra Soccer 100% Crack Fix
----------------------------

This removes the checksum which makes the game guru once you reach the
CHALLENGE PROGRESS screens. To get that far you have to win or at least
get second place in the group matches. Once you get there, the checksum
was calculated and while playing it would guru the machine.

Anyway enjoy this game it really is very nice indeed otherwise I wouldn't
have bothered with it.

FLT England.

Played two times with different teams to the trophy (have seen end animation) without any issue!
PDX version crashes(GURU) in first match of k.o. round!

Are they different version of the virus, are the same files damaged etc.. Just what are the differences before renaming b/b2 to v/v2???

Hi,
SPS notes...

adidas Championship Tie-Break (1990)(Ocean)[2637]
should be
Adidas Championship Tie-Break (1990)(Ocean)[2637]

Kult (19xx)(boeder)(M3)[budget][1512]
should be
Kult - The Temple of Flying Saucers (19xx)(boeder)(M3)[budget][1512]

-the game is with this subtitle and the second release of Kult [0661] is also with this subtitle (" - The Temple of Flying Saucers")
...fixed, Crashdisk

-----------------
You know, there exist 4 enhanced Sierra games (the names are shortened for better visibility), namely:

King's Quest 1, Leisure Suit Larry 1, Mixed-Up Mother Goose, Space Quest 1

[1436] King's Quest 1 - is with [SCI remake], SPS says "SCI"

[2838] Leisure Suit Larry 1 - is without note, SPS says "Enhanced"

[2680] Mixed-Up Mother Goose - is with [SCI remake], SPS says "Enhanced"

[2222] Space Quest 1 - is with [SCI remake], SPS says "Enhanced"

I suggest, all 4 games with [Enhanced] or all 4 games with [SCI remake]. (For me is "Enhanced" better, because I think, it's more universal and understandable naming than SCI as "Sierra's Creative Interpreter")

No it shouldn't.

Look at the HOL page; Manual / Boxscan / Diskscan / Miscshot etc: adidas Championship Tie Break

Ok, now I will use your logic and arguments. If you want exact naming acording to Manual, Boxscan, Diskscan etc...
So, the name should be changed to:

adidas CHAMPIONSHIP Tie break (1990)(Ocean)[2637] (as title screen, boxscan, manual, miscshot)

or even better

adidas CHAMPIONSHIP TIE-BREAK (1990)(Ocean)[2637] (as diskscan)

So what, are you satisfied? Do you like it?
I think, It's wrong HoL entry.
