Bwahaha! The Ragnarok lives!

v359 of the library just resulted in lock ups for me so this is v354 which works just fine. (But Getinfo doesn't recognise the chip as shown)

And my 80MHz upgrade for my Apollo 4060 works great too

(Yes, grelbfarlk, before you say it, it's not quite as fast as yours!)

That's because you are not using the latest version. 355 adds the recognition for 750FX. Which one is the last that doesn't lock the system? Which card do you have? What do you mean with lock up....

Guys I don't like this "it doesn't work" without any info.

Story of my life as a professional developer. “It doesn’t work” is as useful as saying nothing.

It locks up = the system hangs and is completely unresponsive. No mouse movement, no activity.

This is with a PrPMC8150 card. I haven't systematically tried different versions, unlike trixster. v354 works, v359 does not

What other information would you like??

Lock up...when? What about 355, 356, 357, 358? And the latest? Which isn't 359.

OK, videos are on the way once Youtube finishes processing...

Actually the problems occur for me between v355 (good) and v356 (bad). I've also found that WhichAmiga crashes (as opposed to locking up) on v356 with continuous powerpc exceptions but you'll see it in the vid.

They behaved the same as 356 with WhichAmiga ie a continuous sequence of powerpc exceptions.

Getinfo with 354 and 355 appear identical. The first is 354, the second 355

I’ve just tried 355 - gears locked the system hard after about 10 seconds.

The problem is that 355 to 359 only impact .... Ragnarok.. And anything past that the A1200... So the Rapture is not affected in any of those builds.

OK, so I finally got videos to upload to Youtube. The first shows 355 working fine on a PrPMC8150 (nexus this is for you!)

[ Show youtube player ]

The second one is WhichAmiga spawning multiple powerpc exceptions in 356.

Let me know if you need more info

Ermm...There is no difference between 355 and 356....it's a double build. Both even have the same time on Jenkins (0:51)

Also there is no difference between 354 and 355 regarding Rapture. The setup is 100% identical between the versions.

Whaaat?! OK, maybe there is some hardware issue going on. It's really hot here in the UK so I wonder if that is causing some of the stability problems. I'll look into it. Thanks Hedeon.

Regarding the Rapture...something strange is going on. A reset of the Amiga does not seem to reset the PCI card. The PPC is still running after a reset. Only turning the Amiga off helps. Not sure how this is happening.

Edit: Must be my machine. Now it is working as intended again...

Don't know if you have a refrigerator near your computers, but with this heat wave some of my stuff starts to fail (like a hard drive goin' nuts). Not my MOS hardware, but I suspect that the last year summer finished my blizzardppc.

I turned on a fan which is blowing on the A3000 atm, yeah.

Edit:

Went back to 335 and for simple stuff the Rapture is working, but Warp3D demos crash. I'm blaming my old PSU. It used to work with my new (now broken) PSU and I cannot test the rapture correctly at the moment.
