@Cammy

The screen you have with the buttons on the top... is that a foen & hirsch?
Im asking as I bought a cheap 32" screen for our bedroom and have yet to hook an amiga to it, wondering if it will work without any troubles. I should really just get the scart cable and amiga out and hook it up tbh, never have enougth time to do everything these days

EDIT: Btw I have to say you are a real true amiga fan and there is a massive lack of females in the scene so kudos to you

First of all I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my silly list, it was only meant as a joke.

The screen I use is a Vivid LCD TV, it's hooked up to the Amiga through the Indivision at the moment, through VGA, but I have other Amigas hooked up to these TVs through RGB-S-Video adapters. Scart would be even better than S-Video, since you can view Super High Res modes and the signal is a little clearer and more stable.

I think there aren't many girls in the Amiga scene because there are just too many old jerks who don't want us around.

I don't think anyone else should mention me again in this thread, I don't want more people hating me.

Flips do I need an indavision for that svhs? or can I just use the svhs adaptor alone... looks like its on the 23pin rgb port?

Soz im not 100% on amiga hardware these days, had a long break from the scene and have missed alot of things... biggest surprise was the xcopy clone thing that can do what the catweasal was supposed to do

Spot on M8

Cammy,

I don't think anyone was offended at your list and most certainly not at your photo. When you get to my age, its always nice to have a reason to smile and wish you were a lot younger and a picture of a pretty girl will do that, add to it the computer side of things and its a fantastic combination

I certainly wasnt offended and I certainly dont project hate to anyone on this forum let alone somebody who can show alot of people what it means to keep the amiga spirit alive, thats where I stand and always will.

I wish my lass was into the same stuff but frankly she would have a party if I got rid of everything. She doesnt understand the appeal of old tech and just see's me filling the place up with computers lol.

Anyway back on topic I bought this lot:

Pcmcia flash adaptor
2 x 44pin compact flash adaptors
20watt fine tip soldering iron
20cm 44pin ide lead

I just need to fish out my mint white a1200 and get it jiggled about for some octamed and midi goodness

You can get the S-Video adapters here, they plug into the 23pin RGB port and give you a S-Video and a better Composite output, and they can be used on all Amigas except a CD32 (which doesn't have an RGB port but already has S-Video anyway).

I remember that I was asking to Amigamaniac when I saw a video of yours-Amigamaniac S-video, Cammy, and I was telling him it was a nice video/nice product, and he told me you were making him a favour trying them for him and making the video.... by then I didn't know who you were.

Thanx for the link cammy

All it needs is a plastic shell or cover to finish it off!

EDIT: jumping the gun, I see cases are available
