@plasmab: Can you help me, please? Where can I find the latest and most stable firmware for the TF530 Rev. 3? I have so many RAM problems and don't get my cards working. With every firmware I have tried I get different RAM errors :-(
Thank you! |

@ plasmab:
was thinking about current problem with Zorro III today.. If it's not possible to configure it as Z3 correctly - maybe You can leave it as Zorro II (i will be happy to have 4Mb card with SATA anyway) and do further investigations after implementing it in further firmware update? |

It's very strange... I have tried many of your firmware versions, the most "stable" one is your first one. In Diagrom I always get RAM errors on all ranges/banks, everything is red, but with 3.1 ROM the system starts from disk and systest reports that RAM is ok, I tested it for 100 rounds. With IDE I get disk errors but with the first firmware I'm able to boot to workbench sometimes but no fast RAM is detected... The latest(?) firmware from your youtube video with the single bus-file is not working at all. I have tried 50MHz, 40MHz and 32MHz Oscillators on 2 cards. The 50MHz one is using the 60MHz firmware. I have tested the 40MHz and 32MHz ones with 33/40/60 firmwares. Do you have a firmware which is not optimized for speed, a slow and stable one I could test? I can test the cards with 24 Oscillator. |

I tried the firmware version 24/9/2017 but system is not booting with this one. You use 24MHz on your TF534S? |

Hi @ plasmab, nice update thanks for the vid, if the zorro 3 becomes a nightmare then, I am happy with zorro2!
The only crazy idea that I have, did you tried just for the fun of it a A3000 Zorro 3 memory base address range, then go trying different 3.1 kick-start roms, sorry if I am way off with this post, then please forgive me. |

Hmmmm.. https://www.amigaforever.com/kb/15-127
"The ROMs for 68000-based systems (Amiga 1000, 500, 500 Plus, 2000, 600) can in general also be used on newer systems, except for their graphics.library not supporting AGA features and expansion.library not supporting 32-bit Fast RAM (unless such RAM came with its own ROM to add the RAM) and Zorro III cards. The Amiga 600 scsi.device should also work on the Amiga 1200 (but not on the Amiga 3000 or 4000)." |

Of course Zorro III brings a lot of fun and many interesting experiments, and yes, if you are able to build TF card - there will be no problem to patch the ROM to enable 32bit fast RAM support.. in other hand there will be a lot of people not so familiar with it, and they will wonder why TF534s card isn't working on a standard A500/2000... in my opinion best option is to leave it as Zorro II (if it works like that) as a standard, and maybe, if You will get some mojo and some time, You can build an experimental firmware with a custom ROM and Zorro III support.. regards, -Viktor |

More or less agree. I’m pondering if there is enough space on the big CPLD for enough code to config the ZIII card. It’s 4 OS calls. ISTR there was an address space which you could put a byte wide rom ... which would get copied to ram and run. Need to read up on this. The code needed would be tiny. |
