I thought so also. Run it here, and main GUI is fine. Add or edit, and click Okay or Cancel and it does the "depth weirdness". Does it with 32-bit and 64. I didn't think Admin would have any affect and I was right. So, I...don't know. Nothing else I use does that. I'm checking different settings to see if something will stop it. From only running and changing settings. If I find something...you know what'll be next.

- 68030 MMU: If MMU generated MMU configuration exception (almost never normally), F-line exception was also generated, hiding the original exception.
- Apollo 040/060 accelerator (and possible some others): On board RAM mirrors partially appeared over 0x08000000 address space, confusing KS ROM RAM detection if KS supported 0x08000000 RAM.
- GUI main window was moved back if was not already bottom most window when closing child window. (Wrong order of closing child window and enabling main window) (b14)

Drag n Drop HDF's order is still a window's mess, but thats the way its going to be.

Yes, it is not going to change. Windows works that way. Other programs do the same, even notepad (the recent one with tabs), notepad++ etc when dragging multiple text files.

No idea (and if you find more info, post in separate thread). Perhaps it is usual permission restriction: you can't drag anything from non-admin program to program with admin privileges.

I don't know if it is a bug, but some of my WinUAE configs are having palette issues. I see this:

while WinUAE "sees" (and saves) this:

I don't know since which version this occurs, but it still occurs with the latest 5.1.0 beta too.

What preferences i should check? Or what version of WinUAE?

Previous official must be always checked, even before posting in any beta thread. But also can't really say anything without winuaelog.txt. Possibly some really old config that tries to set 16-bit mode in GDI mode (check misc panel and try different API settings) or some mostly obsolete filter or something.

I use 5.0.0, so the previous official was tested. This config is one of my newer configs for a SASC environment, one or two years old. GDI is set at the misc panel, but it is too in configs where no palette problems occur. Same for 16-bit mode, and i used it in windowed mode (the panel says the bitdepth is for fullscreen). Filter is the null filter. (Which means, no filter?)

I've looked for winuaelog.txt, but i did not find it. I enabled full log on the paths panel and selected winuaelog.txt, but still no winuaelog.txt. However, here is winuaebootlog.txt; perhaps it contains something relevant.

Edit: Okay, i've tested some older WinUAE versions too. In WinUAE 4.9.1 the problem does not appear, and it does in WinUAE 4.10.0. So, it started in 4.10.0.

Edit #2: Here is a shot of the two panels beside each others: the fonts are different in 4.10.0; not just from 4.9.1, but from the other programs too.

This is probably the dumbest question you heard but hey, here I go... If I have some config is it really updating as easy as swapping old version of WinUAE exe with newer? I mean everything works but I am not sure if I am doing it right. Sorry for noob question, dont want to make whole new thread.

Since winuae beta 14, the APB (sps 1240) and xybots (sps 1707) games no longer work. Problem present in release 5.1 too.


APB amiga error screen

Xybots: immediate death at the start of the game.



I think the problem is the protection of these two games. Because in "compilation" release, they work well...

Weird Dreams Retail will ask for Key Disk after the Doc check and the one in the Virtual Reality release will just keep checking the Copylock track!

APB + Weird Dreams seem to use the same Copylock with an extra signature on sector 6, supported by Keir Fraser in disk-utilities!

Fixed. Unfortunately recent disk update made this special condition (zero length disk dma with disk sync enabled) to not work.

No. It only has configurations that were available from factory. (Yes, KS 3.1 A1200 is quite common so maybe it should be possible..)
