Think I have said it lots of times, manufacturers dont really care about the standards anymore in relation to old connectivity. So they tend to cut corners this can cause different issues on different sets.

Also virtually all HDTVs will treat the Amiga's low-res non-interlace screenmodes (that 99% of games use) as a interlace signal which adds input lag and messes up various sprite effects.

I've just complete testing the new cable with individual grounds. Unfortunately with my AMIGA 500,i couldn't see any difference on any of the 3 tv's, with the other cable (without individual grounds). Maybe the difference will be visible with an aga amiga or/and on higher resolutions

It wont make a difference it they are the same on your A500.
I also thought individual grounds would make a difference from past experience, but as with anything Amiga, it defies all logic, .

I have one of these cables which has been working fine for years on both of my Samsung LCD tellys but today, just as I am preparing my A1200 tower to sell, I am getting a white screen. I can vaguely see my icons in the "mist" and can even make out the movement of my mouse pointer.

For now I have reverted to connecting the yellow composite video lead to view and clear my work partition.

Is it likely that my lead has developed a fault or could it be something more serious?

Just made the scart cable based on the pics on first page, Working perfect !! but a little mistake i think, audio is connected from scart, in reality audio is connected from db23 connector...

thx for this topic

No, surely the audio output from the Amiga is connected from the RCA phono sockets to the SCART plug.

bigger cables means more ohm resistance then bad quality signal, one time on my pc i made a big cable for tower to amplifyer, and monkey island game sound looked like harmonic

check 'scart Pin 16 Blanking signal up'. its probably not getting enough voltage, so the nonexistant composite signal (white) is 'overtaking' RGB.

look at the wiki for ghosting issue: 'A more permanent method is to remove pin 19 from the SCART plug that is put into the TV.'
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scart

another wiki suggests: 'Depending on TV make and VGA buffers used, it could happen that the sync signal causes some reflections in the image. Connecting it via 75 Ohm (like the other video signals) removes this reflection. '

Reviving an old thread...

Just bought a Holo3DGraph card. Don't want to fry it so i'm double checking everything. This card accepts RGB (SCART) signals. Goal is to record various graphics i did on Amiga, since i'm not happy with existing WinUAE video export (long story....).

Anyway, here is a schematic i draw. If you see any mistake please do ALARM me before i connect it and fry something in my precious video processor card.

Are you sure the composite will work as sync or does the card expect sync on green?

Card takes the sync over its BNC input (marked with S on image above).

But i have no idea will this work from Amiga's TTL-CSYNC.
