To compile you need VC++ (6.0) , allegro distribution and TDGui libraries. Very simple really. For allegro you just need the .lib, the headers and the .dll. For TDGui just the tdgui.h and the lib . (TDGui is used just for the dialogs - not many of them though ;-) ).

You know what would be a cool feature, is if you could include your own offset between each image say!

That way if the sprites don't line up by say x bytes, then you can add that many bytes and they are auto added/removed so they can be lined easy

How would you do that ? a text editor for offsets for each image ??? Nah, too much work. Not worth it. And besides if the offsets are different chances are the sizes of images are different too...

Yes! These sprites deserve to be archived somewhere.

Hi All,

Just wondering if its possible to rip the sprites form Curse of Enchantia, I'm pretty new to this lark ... I've tried 'save state' in winuae and can't find anything using this loverly GfxRip app ... I looked at the tutorial and I even got the same results as the robin ones (didn't get as far as the palette tho'), I've got Curse of Enchantia up n running and I go to save state, the file I save out just appears to be almost all noise in gfxrip ... any clues anyone?

btw, I did all the sprites in this one too, It was my very first game

Edit .. think I have it now ... shoulda been saving uncompressed uss files I think .. cheers anyway ...

The Chaos Engine gfx are easily ripped

Why not rip all the gfx for all the levels (Main Char sprites and also all enemy gfx and the background tiles etc )

I have been busy ripping gfx from Leander and have got the sprites atc for the first 4 levels I'll rip more when I get time

X_To: Have a go at Sleepwalker matey, the gfx are sprites, yet they are difficult to piece together

Don't understand the sudden excitement about gfx ripping though, you can get the complete sprites'n'tiles stuff from The Chaos Engine here...
http://www.gods-country.de/eab/ ...ripped years ago and compiled for a remake of the game last summer.

@wlcina

sorry, i´ve never played the game before...would be nice if i have a savestate..

@bippym

the problem is that the sprites have different heights...the prog can´t solve this problem...rip them one after one and put them together im PSP..
maybe you have enough luck to find some sprites that have the same height...they should be in one row...
the turrican 2 sprites were also made in this way...really not funny this work...
