That's interesting considering I've never seen James review an Amiga game and only mentions the computer in passing on a couple of occasions. I did see him briefly feature a C64 game in a compilation video though. He was staggered by the necessity to wait while it loaded from a cassette being more of a console kid at the time... maybe it was just his usual hyperbole, I can't remember.

In Transformers: Age of Extinction they have old Amiga joysticks to control small flying drones. So there is one good thing in that movie.

Never seen a movie with an Amiga in...
Probably because all the best ones use Mac's instead. Sorry, but it's the truth. Maybe it was before my time. (or i never pay attention) Probably the latter. |

I think Macs are in movies to advertise them, Amiga to show how timeless and great this computer is, even after C= death.

In "Theory of Everything" (2014), about Stephen Hawking, there's a beautiful Commodore PET sitting as the centerpiece of his desk in his home. I think it's about two thirds into the movie. No screenshot, sorry. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2980516/ But I can recommend Lazy Game Review's review of the Commodore PET: [ Show youtube player ] |

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this one, I noticed today that on the cover of Fish's album 'Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors' there appears to be an Amiga with Fish's face on the monitor

I was hoping Turbo Kid will have Amiga or at least some floppies in background. Still great movie for me.

You should definitely be watching season 3 of Halt and Catch Fire. There've been A1000s in a few episodes now.

Was listening to Marc Maron's wtf podcast today he interviewed Dana Carvey of SNL and Wayne's World fame.
Dana mentioned his brother Brad who he based the character Garth on, who co-invented and named the video toaster on the amiga computer. http://www.wtfpod.com/podcast/episode-765-dana-carvey At around the 15:45 mark. |

Metamorphosis: The Amiga Factor
I was browsing through Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor (1990), an early 90s scifi horror movie I found in Youtube, and came across footage that some of you may find interesting.
Yes, they're making science with the Amiga! If you want to check it out in motion, head over to Youtube and skip to 1:06:24 for the pictured footage. Last edited by jizmo; 09 November 2019 at 20:37. |
