Like a klutz I crippled the GRP checksum speed in the last version. Hold onto your grpfiles.cache until the hotfix is released, otherwise you will be in for a long wait the next time your start the game.

Yeah, I noticed...
Had to leave the game for 3 mins or so before it would start. All good afterwards though; but good advise i.e. don;t remove the "grpfiles.cache" file |

The hotfix for the grp checksum issue is now available on aminet. I also took the time to improve the performance a bit. Don't expect anything dramatic like with with the previous version, but it could help a bit in certain situations.

The new version with voxels is now out in Aminet. To prevent the security cameras from murdering the framerate, I used a different method to calculate the 64k lookup table for voxels, but it still wasn't enough. In the end I had to add a kludge to switch back to sprites for off-screen rendering. As a side effect camera screens and save thumbnails won't show any voxels, but they are quite low-res so it's not very noticeable. |

Haha, if I was actually talented then I'd have done this for the first release instead of ripping voxels out, but better late than never!

Modest Well it's good you are still able to make improvements to these ports. Looking forward to trying that rally game you did recently as well, Rcross. Love a good racing game. |

RCross is a simple game, but I found it quite enjoyable because the little car handles well. That reminds me, I should finish my track someday.

Sorry to get off the subject of SW. When I get my tower sorted out, I can hopefully play SW in RTG mode as I've a graphics card for it and mediator. |

I'm clueless when it comes to WarpOS, you'll have a better chance asking the gentlemen in this thread:

A new version of SW is out on Aminet. It has the slightly faster rendering code and sound mixer I did for Blood, the oddball native resolutions are supported too. It's possible that the multiplayer was broken in the previous version, that's now confirmed to be working again.

SW is fastest of these build ports, or maybe Exhumed?
My 68060 FPS is most of time over 20, so this might be a worth test this with fast 68040 with local fast ram? I'm little curious as I had 68040 40mhz earlier. |
