I don't want an exact replica; just a joypad that won't break after 10 minutes that is 100% CD32 compatible. A PlayStation pad adaptor that doesn't suffer from lag or other issues would be equally great.

Nope. I was looking for a CD32 pad substitute recently and found a few sites that mentioned old PS1 adaptors, but a few of them were reported to suffer from problems with lag. That's something of a showstopper for arcade games. Unfortunately I didn't find any way of buying an adaptor, laggy or otherwise.

I probably have the most doable project suggested here
I just want a flexible PCMCIA extender cable so one can more freely mount pcmcia cards inside cases. I would use it in my rack projects, and also in the A1200 and A600 and have pcmcia ethernet or wireless card mounted inside the cases instead of sticking out as they do today. |

Looks like you can already buy them (albeit at a high +$100 price).
http://www.vectorelect.com/Product/Extenders/FMCE.htm I cannot imagine AmigaKit having the capability to undercut anyone. Perhaps they could buy a bulk lot to reduce costs? Negotiate a good price. But are you pretty much alone in wanting one? Anyone else seriously looking for something like this? Around this price? |

I don't think that price will ever be feasible, perhaps £70-80 given the $150 price of Vector part.

Nice figures, I especially enjoy how the lengths are specified - in decimalised inches - how utterly insane Anyways, I've been very tempted to desolder a 90 degree angle and just solder a 68 pin SCSI cable connector at each end or something - this vector electronics adapter looks fairly "overkill" compared to what I imagined. Oh, and where are the prices? Today I use two 90 degree angles, that would cost USD 32,- each at amigakit, only amigakit sell a version that is too long, so it would stick too high up if I was to do the same with those (I think). That thing would still stick out the side just as much as any other PCMCIA card anyway, so it defeats the purpose of using it to neatly keep everything inside the case without anything sticking out.
I'd still be interested in some Clockport sound card with MP3 decoding, or Clockport Ethernet/Wireless to leave the PCMCIA slot free. Or how about a buffered IDE interface that's designed to hover over the PCMCIA slot and have a CF slot, IDE and SATA/e-SATA all in one convenient card, rather than people having to use several little parts to get the same thing. It would maximise space available to fit internal DVD drives and let people use plug-in external hard drives without needing a USB card or stack running. |

With so many clockport expansions already available, it is a shame I can only choose 1. I`ve been searching for the Quaddddroport expander for years. I know someone here is making them but being a 1 man band, it takes time. JMHO |

I didn't have a problem getting a 4-Port Clockport Expander in the last run that DJBase did, so I didn't want to suggest to AmigaKit to waste their time on something that's already available. I think it might be nice if AmigaKit bought a large part of the next batch of Clockport Expanders from DJBase to resell perhaps, but there's no need for them to design a new board when the one we have already is so good.
And it really is good! It works like it should of course, but it's also BLUE and is designed with the Indivision in mind, because it has a cut-out in the board to go around the plug from the VGA ribbon cable. Check mine out: http://www.amiga.org/gallery/images/..._A1200Guts.JPG |
