Is there any interest for a version that is inspired by the Atari music but is more like a full amiga tune instead of a chiptune?
If so I might give it a try. |

Had some fun trying to convert the Atari ST tune to a MOD. I want to keep it as close to the original as possible with the exception of using full samples instead of chiptune samples.
Never created any music on an Amiga. I did however play around a lot with FastTracker Scream Tracker and Impulse Tracker back in the day. What are the size constraints on this music? And do I need to use a certain version of ProTracker? Is for example 2.3d or 3.62 acceptable? Or are those formats interchangable. |

@starquake
2.3 and 3.62 use same mod format; i would try to use microsamples (read very short 10 bytes up to 1k samples usually with loop) to keep size small and have a 64-like sound; using only two or three channels keep size smaller too |

So I read the full thread. Should have done that before. Hoffman is making the intro music? Quite hard to match that :-O
Still having some fun with ProTracker so will see how far I'll get. Some practice doesn't hurt. Not going for microsamples though. Don't like it. EDIT: Just heard the music by ADRdesign. I don't think I can match that either... So I guess this exercise will be for my entertainment only :P Last edited by StarQuake; 17 August 2016 at 20:26. |

Yeah, stakes are pretty high here; tried to submit some time ago a track using micro and 2 voices to keep a c64 feeling and was rejected

On a side note, wasp has made some really good video tutorials for protracker and all the commands. It's in YouTube somewhere but a quick search should get you there. |

Right, final stretch here, just need some help with samples.
I need some incidental samples, good quality, already in Amiga IFF or raw format so theres little converting I need to do. I need footsteps, mini bloops and blips, if you want inspiration, here is the ST version: [ Show youtube player ] Dont necessarily have to be the same, I already have a couple, and they need to be small as well. Really need to do this quickly please folks, I want to release this Christmas Eve the same as Putty Squad was. |
