Interesting. I tried it again a couple of times and it always crashes after it loaded from disk 2. All I do is to select A500 in the Quickstart menu and choose one of the two Kickstart 1.3 configs with 512k chip and slow ram. All other options are untouched.

Do you see any exception messages in the log when it crashes?

I finally managed to duplicate this. Keep disk 1 in DF0: when screen flashes (asks for disk 2) Does not appear to be emulation problem

http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae_1600b12.zip

Beta 12:

- file comment was not reset when file already existed and file was opened mode = MODE_NEWFILE, also caused lost file comment if file was opened and old comment was set again (probably another "since the beginning bug") Thanks to TC for finding easy test case.
- mousehack/tablet support "mouse sync" updates (still not fixed)
- "Magic mouse cursor" mode configuration added.
* Both = show standard Windows and Amiga cursors
* Native = show Amiga cursor only
* Host = show Windows cursor only (with colors and shape copied from real hidden Amiga cursor) This mode fakes really smooth looking cursor movement (as long as positioning is correct..)
- 'e' debugger command OCS/ECS color register contents are shown correctly in AGA mode
- sprite garbage in some rare situations (reason not fully known..)
- floppy drives were emptied if quickstart was enabled, show gui on startup was not enabled and GUI was entered for the first time
- sprite attachment fixed. Surprisingly it works as documented

It is an emulation problem. See, it works perfectly with WinUAE 1.5.3. I'm not sure what you mean with "Keep disk 1 in DF0: when screen flashes". If it asks me to swap the disks, I have to.

Will give it a try with the new beta now.

It means for some reason you didn't change the disk (or emulator refused to change it)

Still works here in both 1.5.3 and 1.6 betas.

EDIT: How do you change disks?

There must be something wrong with WinUAE's disk change code then. I tried via the GUI (both variants, drop-down box and "Select disk image"), and also via End+F1. Always the same result.

Any suggestions what else I could try?

ps: The intro looks perfect now.

//EDIT:
Got it working now by ejecting disk 1 before inserting disk 2. That was, however, not needed with WinUAE 1.5.3.

Hmm.. I never eject disks. Weird.. Can anyone else duplicate this?

Does it also work incorrectly in WB? (insert some disk, check that disk icon and label is correct, switch to another disk, check if icon changes)

Does GUI still show correct disk? (exit GUI, wait few seconds, enter GUI and check the disk path)

For whatever reason, the game works 50% of the time now. It's now complete randomness whether it crashes or not. However, I noticed something that might be of interest: When it crashes, it only loaded tracks 5 to 16 from disk 2 or no tracks at all, but it should load tracks 0 to 16 (and when it does, it doesn't crash).

No errors in WB, GUI shows correct disk, too. I second your question if someone else can duplicate this.

Just had a look here with the Turrican 3 Hoodlum crack and it seems that loads fine if DF1 is enabled (Deja Vu time ). Tried it with various floppy speeds and the most common A500 quickstart. When both DF0 and DF1 are enabled it loads fine and if only DF0 is enabled it crashed for me every time. Maybe you can try to enable DF1 pcGTW_Webmaster and see if that causes your problem

Then you click mouse button too early. Disk change without eject requires ~1.5s to finish (switch disks, exit GUI, old disk gets ejected, 1.5s delay, new disk gets inserted. Without delay most disk change detections would fail)

Okay, forget what I've written You're of course right. It runs nicely here even with one drive if I wait a bit after I change the disks

Autoscaling breaks aspect ratio with certain resolution/linemode settings

I believe that I have found a Autoscaling bug:
With filter set to Null filter, Automatic scaling active and Keep aspect ratio checked try the following:

In the Display settings set Resolution to Hires (normal) and Line Mode to Normal and the screen becomes too short and wide.
When Resolution is Lores and Line Mode is Double the screen becomes too tall and narrow.
The correct aspect ratio is maintained only if Resolution is Hires and Line Mode is Double, or if Resolution is Lores and Line Mode is Normal.

I haven't tried using the SuperHires mode but I believe the it will be problematic too.

These were taken with Null filter, Automatic Scaling, Keep aspect ratio, aspect ratio set to 4:3 and a full screen resolution of 1680x1050

Beta 13:

- mousehack mouse sync works in filter modes
- D3D filter display positioning should be correct. maybe.
- full window RTG scaling changes or RTG<>native switches didn't clear old graphics completely
- unofficial/experimental PortAudio audio library support, copy dll (portaudio_x86.dll) to plugins-directory. Main point is very low latency sound API (ASIO, WDM-KS, WASAPI) support. WDM-KS (XP) not tested, WASAPI (VistaSP1/W7 only) confirmed working. Generally can be ignored, do not ask http://www.winuae.net/files/b/portaudio_x86.zip, unpack to plugins-directory.
- file selection dialog uses new IFileDialog interface (if available, Vista or newer only) Dialogs still should look same, shout if something looks weird. (currently this is my workaround for Windows 7b feature/bug of remembering old directory, even if OPENFILENAME structure has lpstrInitialDir set)
- automatic scaling update, very large DIWSTRT/DIWSTOP values are clipped to max overscan size when calculating display size (some demos had really wide autoscaling)
- fixed autoscaling + aspect ratio set + resolution/linedoubling ratio not 1:1 (for example lores + doubling) = wrong aspect ratio.
- clipboard Amiga->PC conversion crashed if clipboard contained no text data (empty FORM FTXT structure without data content)

There is still the small bug with the clipboard.
The first time after starting WinUAE selecting text (in YAM or in a console window like shell), pressing Amiga-C and then Amiga-V paste the content of the Windows Clipboard instead of the formerly selected text.

Just a quick question Toni: Would setting refresh rate from 60hz to 50hz using Powerstrip make Winuae unpredictable at the speed of 3d parts of demos? (cpu sensitive parts) Is there "any" way this could happen. Using beta13.

Resolution is set to 1280 1024. I have null filter enabled.

I'll be testing the new sound driver with ASIO4ALL

EDIT: The slowdown seems like a problem with PA driver together with ASIO4ALL.
