Hi Koobo!
I may have found two bugs with the latest version of HiP (from GitHub):
Take care! |

I think I found a bug that's probably there since ages... Funny nobody noticed it before: Subsongs can be navigated with arrows left and right, 'left' decreases the subsong no., 'right' increases it. So far to good. You can also navigate using your numpad 4 and 6. But here, 4 increases the subsong no and 6 decreases it. I think it should be the other way round, shouldn't it? Cheers, Michael |

I tried out the timeout function and it works here at least with the above modules. I did notice a new problem in v2.52. The end detection of modules that are "never ending" does not work anymore, as it did for in the previous version. This is an unfortunate side effect of the fix where when module ended Hippo skipped over the next module instead of playing it... I will try to fix this. |

Hi Koobo!
Thanks for looking into these issues ![]() Regarding the timeout function, how did you configure it in your Amiga? Cheers! |

If I switch to some lower resolution the problem goes away, for example PAL hires interlace. My theory is that this setup draws too much power in certain situations which causes problem with the Indivision, which is apparently quite picky regarding voltage fluctuations. The above replayers are likely heavy users of level 4 (audio) and level 6 (high priority timer) interrupts which could be related. I need to try out if the same happens also with EaglePlayer... just out of general interest. |

I had a look and it turns out that PS3M does handle boost just fine if a large enough value is given, the Prefs slider just maxed out at 8 where 16 would be better for Impulse Tracker.

Well, Paula sync. to the screen refresh mode.
I have a scandoubler, internal on my A1200. If I play MP3 on my workbench screenmode, Productivity mode, 57hz and switch to some PAL low. res screen for some program the music go half speed etc. That is using Song Player but it should be same for other players. |

Trying to play a sample or an MP3 file with over 28 kHz playback frequency on OCS screenmodes requires realtime resampling (HippoPlayer does this by the way). EDIT: The above mentioned screen flickering is not related since there is no problem in the audio playback. |

![]() ![]() Thanks for testing! On my setup, this "jump" happens with EaglePLayer but only when it starts, after that, IIRC, players work without glitching the screen... Cheers! |

"mugician ii" uses level 4 audio interrupts, which is quite interesting. Maybe there is some connection with this particular screenmode, the power supply, Indivision, and level 4 interrupts... |

Hi Koobo,
I have had a chance to test the version 2.52 against my collection of game and cracktros: It worked like a champ ![]() Among a couple of hundreds of exotic formats, the only I could find not compatible is the Ron Klaren format, like the enclosed Scoopex.rk. This works well on Eagle Player v2.05 Keep up the good work and many many thanks ![]() Last edited by RoC; 15 May 2022 at 10:14. |

What I would love is if you could add double click in song in the playlist to play it.
Thanks for the great player. |
