I've testet the latest scumm version from the Zone - unfortunatly it's very buggy and slow, not really useable with my 366Mhz Cyberstorm. The 1.5 68k version is much faster. Attached a screenshot from snoppy. What ist env:SDL_NOLOWERTASKPRI? Thanks for your work.

I installed a Rapture this morning. I'm using the standard skynet psu as the replacement atx one has not arrived yet. I'm using a Ramix 239/f carrier.

First impressions seem cautiously positive. The machine boots ok, the card initialises fine. I'm using the latest Jenkins PowerPC.library and pci.library 13.5.

Cyberpi, getinfo, warpstat all seem to run ok. No reboots or hangs yet. I ran BlitzQuake on the intro 3 map demoloop without issue for 10mins and all seemed fine. In the desktop the machine seems to sit happily with the rapture initialised, no random reboots etc.

So I don't know if it'll hang together over longer periods with this old but recapped psu but I'm pleased that so far (touch wood) it seems 'ok'. [waits for the machine to explode]

I don't dare put the lid back on the machine yet... and I'm expecting issues when I try Quake for longer or try stuff like Quake 2 or Quake 3.

Buggy is something else than slow. Please be more specific so Steve House can fix it.

If it runs it runs. The instability of my Amiga with the Rapture is in the first 5 minutes. After that, no problem.

Sorry for a bone question: what speed does the cache run at on the rapture? Does set_cmemdiv work in the same way as on the sonnet?

Nice one trixster! I reckon if you've got to 10 mins without crashes you'll be fine unless you have temp probs with the case on. Otherwise, I predict excellent Raptureness ahead

Quake 3, Quake 2 and sulaco seem to work fine, no problems so far. It is good that it appears to work ok with the standard 145W skynet psu.

That's surprising that it works with the 145W Skynet. Like Heds and Wrangler said, usually the problem is in during startup, when the Mediator and then the Rapture start up. If that's not an issue, you should be good.

You should though, smear some coffee grounds on the front of the case and maybe add a few scratches and nicks to it, for luck.

Also overclock to 500Mhz (for no reason.)

Maybe soon or not so soon, or later than soon I'll have some more demanding stuff for you to run. I have a new build of UAE-which provides no tangible benefit whatsoever and is a bug ridden mess right now.

Nexus, I just understood what you were talking about! Man I'm slow today. If you could get Unreal up and running then that would be absolutely incredible! One of my favourite old games.

Mainly GFX issues - I've uploaded some pictures and to be honest it is very slow - not really usable. Digital sound & music were good, but MT32 is not supported - right?

What depth/resolution is your desktop? 32-bit, 24-bit, 15-bit? Try turning off scalers and run your desktop in 16-bit if you can.

MT32 doesn't work right yet, it stutters and slows the whole thing down. On my CSPPC@200MHz with Voodoo-3 it ran quite well compared to the 060 version.

Interesting - the last 1.5 Version from novacoder is much faster on my machine. I've tried several screenmodes 15,16 and 24bit but that doesn't help. (only the colour of the glitches changes) Do you know the old SCUMMVM_WOS 0.7.1 Version?
ftp://ftp:any@grandis.nu/~Uploads/dr...PPC_WarpOS.lha

This version works quite good on my machine - with 366Mhz it's possible to play Monkey 3.

Oh yeah I know that version. All I can guess is that the code is screwing up and trying to render in 32-bit, detecting your desktop mode incorrectly since it's CyberGraphX. If I told you to set USE_P96_FIX=1 turn that off, don't remember if that's still in the libraries.

Can you start it in fullscreen and use a utility like Newmode to see what screenmode it is requesting?
