Every Sega "conversion" was absolutely shocking!

Shadow Dancer was also a great sega conversion as was golden axe.

edit: I also liked Sega's Wonderboy in Monsterland although others have issue with the scrolling I wouldn't call it shocking.

It's not terrible, but a far cry from the Megadrive version. But yeah, the theme song from that game is actually one of my favourite tunes on the Amiga.

I reckon Golden Axe and Wonderboy in Monsterland were pretty poorly done.

The Mega Drive port has better graphics, but gameplay-wise the Amiga version of Super Hang-on is far better. Thanks to the brilliant mouse control.

Eventough Wonderboy in Monsterland wasn't a perfect conversion I still think it's pretty good. I didn't mind the little scrolling issues, what bothered me more is the boss simplifications and the much smaller final level of the amiga which problably had something to do with the diskspace limitations. Still one of my most played arcade games on the amiga because I have such fond youth memories of the coin-up.

Golden Axe on the amiga is overrated in my opinion, it just doesn't have the spectacular epicness of the arcade original and the smoothness of the megadrive's conversion. Great music though, still played it a lot back in the days.

Wonderboy in monsterland suffers the palette problem like Midnight resistance. the amiga version looks a bit too dark.

Sorry I only like the arcade version, I hated the Amiga one

Midnight Resistance is one of the few occasions I actually prefered the amiga version over the original.

Well the palette isn't the only thing different in the Amiga version of WBIM. Even simple stuff like how coins behave is completely different, monster death animations are way longer. Strangely they found the need for gates to open when you are in front of them; in the arcade version you knock on them like a regular door. And then there is the pharao that just attacks you in stead of asking you a question...

deicidal i agree, i find Midnight Resistance on Amiga better than the original .

Hey dude, there is the wonderfull Q*bert conversion on Amiga too name Q-bic (i am not sure) !!!
For those who never tried it, go here http://hol.abime.net/3726
and download the ADF, it is soooo good he he!

"The ninja warriors" is very close to the original version (but some slowdowns sometimes, maybe due to the loading system) and soooo f... hard robots to kill unlike the original !!! Always think that these last points killed the game...

I liked amiga version of wonderboy. I'm a big fan of the saga and have played all of them in different platforms. The master system version was good for 8bit. Good music and graphics.

I think Marble Madness was spot on arcade perfect. I rate it higher than most because it also one of the first Amiga programs so didn't have the advantage of time that some other arcade conversion have.

Is that a joke ?

I remember how ashamed I was when I saw the SupergrafX version and the horrible Amiga version.

In fact, if I knew some coding, I'll be doing a proper version for the Amiga, in order to forgot that horrible souvenir.

I'm sure the Amiga could have handled an almost perfect conversion of this games.
