Defender of the Crown on an A1000 in a department store - I had it on my C64, and it was awesome.
Then the A500 came out, I got one almost as soon as they were released in Australia, along with two games - F/A-18 Interceptor and Fairy Tale Adventure. Reading a magazine review of F/A-18 a few months earlier convinced me that I had to upgrade. It was a hell of a jump from "Combat Pilot" and "F-19 Stealth Fighter" on the C64! |

Barbarian at a school fete in 87 or early 88. It was some kind of funday thing where you could pay 50p for a game on the new fangled amiga 500 that i presume was either the schools, (which would be odd for a UK school at the time , with their BBC/Acorn love), or belonged to someone associated with the school.
I Think i died immediately on the second screen , i didn't have a chance! stupid trap! But i came away with a very good impression of the amiga Seeing Shadow of the Beast for the first time was one of those rare moments where everything i knew about games was blown away and just stood there awe. Thats only happened a few times, Outrun in the arcade, the first time I saw doom on the PC perhaps (a bittersweet experience for an amiga lover). i used to just watch the rolling demo of SOTB for ages in shops, i never tired of it, until i could finally play it at home of course. |

My first game was 'Pinball Wizzard' as it was provided with the amiga. One of the first GOOD games I ever witnessed was Turrican II, and that stuck to my life for quite a period ;-)

First saw Shadow Of The Beast on the Amiga in 1989 in a store, the parallax scrolling of the title screen just blew me away compared to what the ZX Spectrum could do at the time. First played - Lemmings with my A600 in xmas 92. I seem to recall new years' day was spent mostly fiddling with AMOS though

First game I ever witnessed was Double Dragon on a friend's Amiga. First game I ever played on my own Amiga 500 must have been Battle Chess or F/A-18 Interceptor Many more games followed |

I bought my first Amiga in Dixons - it was my Amiga 500+ (still owned by me now) and was the Cartoon Classics pack that was advertised on the telly all the time, containing:
Lemmings Captain Planet & The Planeteers The Simpsons: Bart vs The Space Mutants Deluxe Paint III Workbench 2.04 (+ Extras & Fonts) So really my first game must of been one of the top three listed. It was Lemmings that was on the first time I visited Dixons to see what I could request for Xmas from my folks! The next time I was in there, I saw Bart vs The Space Mutants. Every other time I went in there I just saw a purple screen with a multi-coloured tick and a disk being inserted into a drive (don't you just love the Kickstart 2.x/3.x startup screen)! Anyway - when xmas finally came I saw this really big box in the corner and obviously had to be left till last (out family xmas tradition) so I unwrapped all my smaler presents really quickly and I got some really good stuff - Now the biggy - I unwrapped the Amiga 500+ - Oooh! The excitement I've loved and cherished my beloved A500+ ever since! |

My first?
Yes! Star Trek - The Future Of Mankind. I was a little boy, who only knews the gamesounds of the good old Schneider CPC and the old atari st of my brother. We were on visit at my other brother, who was at this time an real computer freak. he had at this time ataris and amigas... I dind`t know how effective an amiga was, my opinion was: Atari is better, because we`ve got one of it. Little Cassius was an Star Trek freak too, so my brother let my sit down to the amiga. i did`t know what happend... ...The Amiga was booting. She was sounded on the hifi. Star Trek was starting... The room was dark, it was autumn on the streets... ...The Title-Screen Me: "Wah! Digitized sounds!" The next shock: "The Bridge sounds like the real enterprise" after 2-3 hours i know which computer i must have! This was my first amiga-game, which has infected my by the amiga-virus. hehe |
