Hi. What software did you use to do the labels, because you can read the disk from the top. That would save a stranger a lot of time finding the correct disk. I used to know what disk box I had to go to find the correct disk or game.

you folks have it so nice today!
when i archived my amiga disks in 1994, i had to dms/lha them on my a2000 hdd and everytime the harddisk was full, i had to transfer them via null-modem-cable to the pc, and when the pcs hdd was full, i archived them on qic-80 tapes |

Simon, you didn't say, will all be cleaned up eventually?
Also why not the cleaned version replace the non cleaned and you guys keep both? (in case something went wrong?) Maybe it would be better for each cleaned (or in the end for all of them together) to instead just add an extra archive of "junk"? (no need for duplicates, but disks with errors etc. sometimes are useful) |

@NLS; let's just get the whole collection .ADF'd first "as is".
Next steps: ... Revisit disks that had issues; by using alternate hardware / software / methods. ... Final clean up. Patience man |

So you have a big bunch of QIC-80 tapes in the attic, filled with disk images ready to see the light of day again?

Nope, we deliver the junk and the community can do the rest if they like ( or not ) . If the cleaning stops at some point ... so be it. We just do our part.

@TMB : do you have amiga modules (i.e. music)? Always looking for original modules rather than ripps.

Our not so subtle way of saying to get up and start digging in our archive ;-)
It is such a an enormous amount of floppies ... if we would have to do the processing from a to z that would take ages and I am just not motivated to do all that. This way everything is available fast for everyone. Tosec can do their pick and pull, others can just grab what they want and some can just take their trip to memory lane exploring and discovering.... for me that is the most satisfying way. |

Yeah man, nothing better than the feeling of sharing with other like minded people who appreciate the contents / effort involved
Otherwise, what's the point? |

To be honest I thought everyone was going to have a good laugh when I posted the pictures of the haul. As in “look at him with his wall of floppies while everything is on Tosec already” ...
That it would become one of 2018’s hot Amiga topics with attention from all over the world on youtube, Twitter, a plethora of Amiga related news sites in lots of different languages.... I did not see that coming. It has became a fun ride, that is for sure. |
