Nice. Any chance you can get another Simulmondo game, Time Runners 10? As I understand it, it's the only one out of that series of 30 (!) games that isn't IPF'd.
I don't personally care about that particular game, but I'd like to see it acquired by someone in the general spirit of preservation. |

I'll check integrity of the floppy when I get home for reading/writing issues on my Amiga 600 original drive and I'll ask someone in my zone with a A1200 if he could dump it.
___ Floppy is working fine and has no errors. Contacted the SPS for asking if they are still interested. Last edited by Dokugogagoji; 20 November 2013 at 19:18. Reason: tested the floppy |

That's great, Dokugogagoji!
I have to warn you that SPS can be very slow to respond to inquiries (like weeks, sometimes months). Please keep us informed of your progress so we can make sure this doesn't "slip through the cracks"! I think all you really need to know from them is if they have a pending dump of Time Runners #10 or not. If not, we need to find someone near you with a Kryoflux or a validated Amiga setup that you can get the disk to. If you don't hear back from them by mid-December I might be able to help. I have permission to send a reminder email around that time concerning some dumps I did this summer |

Okay I'll inquire about it next week.
Thanks for not getting discouraged yet. Despite the silence, I assure you that they really do care, it's just they only have one or two active members left and they're too busy to spend a lot of time on this project. It's sad but that's life... |

It seems to me that his account must have been terminated because of his scornful attitude towards the secrecy leading up to the Amiga Putty Squad release (or trolling, if you prefer).

To me it looks like he said something mildly offensive, apologized almost immediately, and even edited his original post. That's worthy of a permanent ban? (Rhetorically speaking. I know you had nothing to do with it yourself Prowler.)
Well thanks a lot to whichever moderator did ban him, you just torpedoed our attempts to get the last missing Time Runners game preserved. I give up. |

There may have been more to it than that. I am only guessing based on what I have been able to discern from reading the thread.
Only the EAB Administrator, RCK, is able to terminate a member's account in that way, so I would advise against making any assumptions. |

The reason for the guy having his account terminated was apparently his own choice. He sent me a PM which I only spotted the other day:
"I wanted to ask you sorry again for having insulted your work and the people who appreciated it. I have my reasons for that post but the past is past, you are right. I have already ask to RCK to delete my account since I am used to delete my forum accounts each year so it's my last chance to ask you sorry anyway. Happy holidays, Simone " I made a slightly off hand remark toward him, but his reaction to quit because of it is rather extreme to say the least, although he claims he purges his accounts in places every year (no idea why anyone would do that). I'm sure if you PM RCK directly, he can give you the guys email address to contact him. |
