The Cult of Robert Benjamin

Looking through the games on the EAB Server I found "Hamburger Heaven" by Robert Benjamin.

I remember Robert as a regular contributor to the Amiga Format Reader's Games section each month.
His games to be fair weren't the best looking but always made me laugh and they were fun.

I think that someone who made my Amiga a litte more fun to use each month deserves some recognition so please take a moment to post your memories of Roberts games and tell us about your favourite.

Perhaps you know Robert or know what he is doing now... let us know here in this thread... "The Cult of Robert Benjamin"

To start I have uploaded to the zone "Hamburger Heaven" - You need to load from WB - get playing!!

Yeah his games were great Do you remember Fred The Frog ? Very fun game.
There was also a game where you have to deactivate time bombs in a building ? Very addictive gameplay.
I think he is from the US ? His games always looked like the very first Amiga games from 85 / 86. The gfx are very USAish.
If I remember right, he made the games together with his wife ?
Great memories

Welcome plasmatron - new cult member!

Yes RB did put together some unique titles!
I am going to track down some more of his games from my Amiga Format cover CD's when I get some more time - I will zone them.

It seems that RB is a busy man - he looks to have written loads of articles on the net - I am assuming that this is the same RB of course... look HERE as an example - RB writing about Bigfoot!!

Well spotted Cody!

Looks like Robert has many interests... he has a few games free to download from his website...

Look at THIS!
Ok, not everyone's cup of Tea but you don't get many Christian video games called "Monsters From Hell"

Check the screen shot... His Amiga games were just the beginning!

Never heard of him, but sounds interesting nonetheless. Anybody who can write a game called "Hamburger Heaven" gets kudos from me. :P

Hello old Amiga friends... I just stumbled upon this great memorial to myself. Yes, it's me Robert. I made many games and a couple utilities for my good friend the AMIGA. I first bought an AMIGA 500, then a 600, then and AMIGA CD32 system. I programmed the games in AMOS.... then later dabbled a bit in BLITZ, which is what I wrote the utilities in. A couple other games I released on the AMIGA (AMINET ARCHIVES, ETC) were: Bethanys Zoo, Cavern Commander, Cyborg Crisis and a fishing game, I believed it was called: Fishing Fun.. oh yea and a metal detecting (simulator) game.... Take care fellow AMIGANS.... AMIGA will live forever in our hearts.
