I use an amiga monitor right now (Amiga Tech. M1438), but I plan to get a scandoubler/flickerfixer soon so I can use an inexpensive 17" PC monitor.

I'm using a CTX PV505 15.2" LCD on my PicassoIV here, very nice

but for a your A600 you want one of the following:

Philips 8833-I / 8833-II (also badged as Acorn but beware of these as they have no composite input)

Commodore 1081, 1084, 1942

or the best:

Microvitek 1438 (or amiga version)

The philips/commodore monitors can be picked up for <£20 now (I've seen a few 'free to a good home')

Expect to pay more for a 1942 or 1438, but with them you can use dblpal

Of the 2 the 1428 is better as the 1942 is only a tri-sync not a true multi-sync...

I use an 8833-II as a TV (connected to a video/sky) and an 8833-I connected to my DVD player, best TV Pictures I've ever seen

Using an SVGA CRT monitor here. Double scan modes are great
