Collection Cataloguing software for OS3.9/4.1?
I'm looking for software I can run on my miggy to keep track of Magazines and Disks I've accumulated.
For magazines I want to find out at a glance which ones I don't yet have (for quickly checking against new ebay listings) but I also need to have other things like the quality of the magazine (bad, fair, good, excellent, superb!) and whether or not I have the original coverdisks for them. reason I want it on my miggy is that it's the only computer in our "retro room" with all my collectibles! and it'd just make me feel more warm and fuzzy having the software on the machine i'm collecting for should i be looking for database software like M$ Access? What do you suggest? |

Superbase (If I remember the name correctly) was a database program I used years ago on my Miggy to catalogue my music CD collection.
Allows for pictures as well as text all within a user defined table. Dave G |

according to wikipedia, there was a SuperBase 4 Pro 1.36 released on Amiga in 2000. googling for it isn't turning up any relevant results :/

Have you looked on the EAB server?
If not I can have a look through my software and see what version I've got. Dave G |

I think mine could be older than that
Have you had a look at it? The version I had was very good and would let you export data in a format that at the time could be read by other packages, i.e. dbf, etc Dave G |

found their website. looking also at their support page it seems there is cross compatibility between amiga version 4 and windows. that's actually perfect for my needs as i can sync the same database between os'es
I should add though, that I cant find a download link or way to buy the amiga version. lol Last edited by prowler; 06 November 2012 at 21:17. Reason: Back-to-back posts merged. |

the 3 disk one is working fine
just have to extract all the lha files to one directory on your hd, followed by the other files on the disks. |

I would go for MUIBase. It's nice, rather powerful and relational. And it's still maintained and under constant developing!

@ cha05e90 - I agree and look at their page for on-line documentation... http://muibase.sourceforge.net/documentation
Superb - if only all Amiga Apps had instructions on-line like these... |
