For classics, i have now my hopes on the fpga replay. It's an amazing board with rtg, and the possibility for a daughtercard with a 060 among other things. I think this is the best replacement for my classic hardware!.

What would be quite interesting is an AGA motherboard with trap door for the A600 casing. That would be quite a machine really.

The problem is that every schematic he has of Commodore is so messed up that it's no use.
So he's starting to work with some of the better people out there to get it done. The reasons for no AGA is that the Amiga 500 and ECS are much simpler to install and work with. Bear in mind that the AGA chipset requiers a different setup to work and a multilayerd PCB, hence more costs. |

I met him a couple of times in real life on a few amigascene.nl meetings.
We had a whole topic on our dutch site about the A500++ long time ago. The first one he finished he could not get it to work, after that he went away for a while. But yes you can follow the progress on his website. http://www.amiga-digital.nl/index2.html |

This seems to be the norm for any majorly new Amiga hardware, doesn't it?

I really hate always the same. Few support and then when the project is finally finished people starts complaining. I'm not referring to this project. A lot of projects/software/business will close if you don't support (buy/open sites/donate/use/post) them
So everyone please try to support as much as you can each thing you've still got around and you like. Maybe you think they are earning money while in fact they aren't, they do much more than you do to keep the Amiga alive. |
