Using WinUAE 1.6.0, the A1200 4 MB expanded quickstart and a 'plain' WB 3.1, StingRay's fixed version (of course) works like a charm. What WB environment (ClassicWB etc.) do you use thesaintv7?

After loading the data files you checked for an error, however, Close() returns true on success (i.e. if the file could be closed d0 != 0 or $ffffffff.l in this particular case) and you checked for -1 as error code. The whole error handling logic in the LoadFileRoutine seems to be broken as it doesn't make much sense to me to only check the result of the last Close() operation. Make sure you have some Fastram enabled, game needs it to load the data files. |

I'm mystified how it ever worked in the first place then!

The only way I can see this working is when the last loaded file doesn't exist. In all other cases this shouldn't work at all.

Well that is a mystery then because of Zoltrixs 68060 it took a while to get it working on his machine, I would never have released it not working.
The package that Dr.Bong uploaded is the full release I did back in the day including the save files at the start of the season. I notice that the fixed file is larger, did you resource it to fix it? |

Yeah, as I needed to add additional code and didn't feel like coding a loader it was the fastest approach. |

I assure you it worked, there would have been no point releasing it otherwise.
Just utterly mystified, and quite irked, because I went to great lengths to ensure it would work on 040/060 which the original didn't, still, at least the rest of the fucking thing works I suppose! |

I wonder if the max transfer rate of the hard drive is set too high or low would cause it to not load the last file correctly, thus my code thinking it had loaded correctly and continuing?
Thinking about it, my A4000 030 did have a problem with really big files sometimes |

That being the case, what a 'popular' game it must have been when no-one ever reported it! Glad all that effort I went to wasn't a waste! Other than that, I take it it works ok on your machine? |

People are lazy when it comes to reporting problems. Maybe they just used your other hd fix for this game so they never even noticed the problem.
And yes, works OK on my machine. I can't seem to quit tho no matter how hard I press both mouse buttons. |

I just wanna say how much I appreciate your work on this Galahad/FLT, it doesn't go unnoticed I assure you.
Also on other releases, you and the FLT team. |

Is it possible for someone to post COMPLETELY INSTALLED version in the Zone? By completely installed I mean packed directory of the game itself.

In the zone. Actually it's not more than StingRay's fixed binary packed with the original version uploaded by DrBong. Well, hope this helps.
