Last-Out - A Z-Out Remake
Hi,
After Blazing Wings, this is Last-Out my second project. Last-Out is a PC remake of Z-Out made with Game Maker. I have already remade the three first stages and a new version (0.4.2) has just been released three days ago : - The frame rate of the game is now 60 FPS. - Level 3 playable. - 7 crystal-made paralaxes for the background of level 3. - Press J+K on the title screen to toggle the Amiga difficulty mode. Enjoy ! http://amigachaptertwo.wordpress.com/last-out/ Last edited by Aligarion; 11 February 2016 at 21:31. |

Nice one Aligarion Looks really close to the original. Do you plan to include custom levels later? Will give this a closer look when I'm back home

well, those crystals with "bubbles" looked not so awesome after filtering, I think you should use same resolution as in Amiga game but increase framerate

The framerate is already 60 FPS... isn't it enough ? I think it is. |

more is overkill But you have those people with very special eyes that can see the difference between 60FPS and 100FPS.

That's very good, I got killed on level 1 as its been a while since I played on my laptop (well that's my excuse )
The hard part was finding the link in the wordpress page which comes after "télécharger la" (version béta 0.5.4 de Last-Out) it would be easier to find if the link was in BOLD TEXT for old fogies like myself Thanks for sharing this with us, its something that I will play with again and again |

Wow, I remember play-testing an old version of this many, many years ago, I even suggested you a few changes, and how to make the game run at a better framerate under GameMaker .
Are you still using GameMaker for this? An updated version, I hope? |

Huge glitches in sound on my Win10 box - Amiga modules work fine, but the MP3s send the CPU requirements through the roof and end up with very jerky motion.
This is on a 2.7GHz AMD A8 (8GB RAM) btw. D. |
