After finally getting the hang of dos2dos.Just stuck on how would you compress an adf file in winuae so it can fit onto a formatted 720kb floppy

Hi JACK98,

Use DMS. Grab it here:

First, mount the ADF file as df0:
Then launch DMS using execute dialogue.
Command syntax:
DMS read disk1 from df0: packs a disk in df0: to disk1.dms
To extract on Amiga:
DMS write disk1 to df0: extracts archive disk1.dms to disk in df0:

Note that DMS images can be mounted directly in WinUAE.

Note that a minority of Amiga disks will not compress well enough to fit on a single 720k disk so you will need to transfer them in two chunks. To do this use the syntax:
DMS read disk-1.dms from df0: low 0 high 39
DMS read disk-2.dms from df0: low 40 high 79
You can then unpack each part separately to the same Amiga floppy.

Then to unpack, use the syntax:
DMS write disk-1.dms to df0: low 0 high 39
DMS write disk-2.dms to df0: low 40 high 79
