Dsq
Is there a tool for windows available for converting dsq-archives (Diskqueeze) to ADF (AmigaDiskFormat)?
If there is not such a converter, which tools are available for Amiga? |

This web page:
http://www.amiga-stuff.com/archivers-download.html has a host of archivers to download, including DiskSqueeze versions 1.22 and 1.23 Version 1.23 is available from Aminet and referred to in the post above. Links to AmigaGuide documentation are provided on the amiga-stuff web page, but the same docs are included in the archives. Naturally, these are Amiga utilities. Due to the dependencies of this archiver on other Amiga command and device files, some of which are provided in the archive, it is unlikely that a tool for use on Windows is to be found. The Amiga version of the archiver could, of course, be run under Windows within WinUAE, which would give the added benefit of unpacking .dsq archives straight to .adf without using a floppy disk as intermediary. However, all this might be unnecessary. This evening whilst Googling for DiskSqueeze, I found a quote from WinUAE release notes stating that WinUAE 1.4.5+ has .dsq (DiskSqueeze) and .wrp (Warp) decompression support. Best of luck. |
