Iomega Ditto Tape Drive...

Does it work on the Amiga? I'm getting one of them to play around with from a local Freecycle mailing list and I was wondering if it would on the Miggy or if no drivers were ever made for it (or if the Amiga parallel port even supports the bi-di operations needed to make it work)

In general the parallel port will not support such hardware - the parallel iomega zip drive won't work, you have to use a scsi or ide version.

An interface can be made which gives some support of ZIP drives (http://aminet.net/package/docs/hard/ppazip) but they aren't supported natively as alphonsus says.

I doubt very much you could use your tape device If it was SCSI then that would be a different matter
