CD32 Emulation + Theme Park - Help

A noob question from the Neptus, who'd have thought I could be as Inept as my name?

I downloaded WinUAE 1.42, and have the two required rom files for CD32 emulation. I have a disc image of Theme Park CD32, which I mounted with daemon tools - tis all appears fine. on the Misc page, I enabled uaescsi.device

Here's the problem: it just never seems to load. At one point I come to the Theme Park menu, I hit fire to select my language and it drops back to the CD32 menu. Here's what I mean in screenshots:

First screenshot (001.png) after I start WinUAE. I hit fire, I get 002.png. I hit fire again, I'm bakc with 001.png. I hit fire again, I get to 003.png, I hit fire to select English, I'm back to 001.png. Repeat.

I've tried multiple selections from the drop down to the right of uaescsi.device (such as AdaptecSCSI, etc).

Select SPTI if you have Windows 2000 or newer.

Not enabling the uaescsi.device I get a similar pattern (I'm not sure why I was enabling it to begin with, quickstart CD32 seems to do what I want as it is). Left button click during CD32 intro (screenshot one) takes me to screenshot two. right-click during CD32 intro takes me to language menu (screenshot three). Right or left-click while on language menu takes me to screenshot one.

Come to think of it, some more useful information: my virtual drive is mounted as D:. Real drive is mounted as K:. I'm guessing it's just never picking up on the disc for some reason? Is there anything I should be enabling specifically do it does pick up on the virtual drive/disc. I can post winuaebootlog.txt if it's more helpful

( I tried SPTI for uaescis.device, same thing ).

Only to be sure: Is this really a CD32 game? There is a Amiga CD Version too.

Near enough positive, but still a good question as I could't be 100% definitive with an answer. It came from a torrent, titled "Theme Park (1995)(Mindscape)[!][CS090088].zip". cue/iso/mp3 format.

Mmh, have you converted the audio tracks to .wav? Daemon Tools can't mount ISO+MP3 rips.

That might explain a lot! I was sure it did, but I really can't remember why (it's been a long while since I did any emu). Does any other (such as Alcohol 120%)? I'll try converting it though.

Alcohol doesn't work, try to convert the tracks and make a new .cue file.
You can use the Sega Cuemaker for it:

Everything looks pretty okay, converted, cue file is fine, etc, but still no luck

Just to clarify: You mean you tried SPTI instead of uaescsi.device, right ?

Selecting SPTI and mounting ISOs with Alcohol works for me.

Try audio CD. Your game image is most likely faulty if audio cd works (CD32 audio CD player starts)

Well as I'm a bit vague on what I'm doing (other than using quickstart CD32), I had uaescsi.uae on with SPTI also selected. But I tried it with it also off and haven't had it on since Toni posted not to

Even audio CD isn't noticing the disc for me, so I'm going to leave it down to potentially an awkward system configuration of sorts as no-one else has any problems. I'll try with something other than Daemon Tools sometime soon and see how it goes though

I'd have just gone with the AGA one to begin with, but hey, I was curious

Can you post your full .cue file? The datatrack entry should be like this:

Quote:
FILE "Theme Park (1995)(Mindscape)(Track 01 of 26)[!][CS090088].iso" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2048
INDEX 01 00:00:00

Pretty sure it isn't the cue file, as I can't even get CD32 emulation to play/recognize an audio CD mounted with D-Tools (must be my fault somewhere in here). I'll try it on another system someday I guess.

But the two cue files:
