Good point. And as little fondness as I have for GNU licenses in general, it won't really hurt in this case. Copy&paste away.

With DokuWiki it would be easy to write a custom registration backend that uses the already existing EAB users database (I have done it for my site). No need to register twice then.

Yes, EAB's account integration is needed, I see 3 way to do it for MediaWiki (very popular) and one for Doku. Support of EAB's local usergroup is needed, as users could simply join one Wiki usergroup like they are joiny the zone's one.

Edit: Plus expertise in integrating DokuWiki with existing userbases already exists here (Duke), so that may be handy as well. |

Ah because you think each and every wiki may be edited even by unregistered users? This is past. Many wikis are now registered-users-only. I agree with you that this might be mandatory. |

I would agree that making the WIKI editing a mandatory logon to be neccessary just to make sure you can track who made changes and when.
If you really want to know how Wikipedia can really run amok, take a gander at THIS. It's from the Colbert Report on Comedy Central about my home state, it's just too damn funny |

I'd be happy to write down stuff about the European Amiga demo scene up until 1992, anyone wanna collaborate? Send a private message if so. I have a demo programmer's view, maybe a swapper's view would be good too. In fact I'll ask my friend Johan.
