Memory
Here's a picture of my A2000's memory expansion board:
It uses little chips which are called DIPPs if I remember correctly? Anyway - they remind me of the 1MB Memory I once bought for my 286/20Mhz, which was a hand full of these little buggers. My question is.. does anyone know if I can use these same DIPPs that I used on my 286/20Mhz for my Amiga 2000? I still have that 286 mainboard somewhere and hey.. an extra 1MB of memory wouldn't hurt, totalling my A2000 at 4MB. Any risc of blowing stuff up or something like that? Anyone has any experience with this, using old PC DIPPS on Amiga expansion boards? |

There is of course a risk of blowing things up if the chips are not compatible... I don't know if they are, really.. DIPPs don't ring a bell. I only remember memory ZIP modules.

Hmm what if I wiggle one out of my 286 mobo and put it under my scanner?

I don't know, I wouldn't be jeopardizing my Amiga's life doing such things as the one you want to do... Your call If somebody else replied to this, saying it is opssible... but no one did, so I suppose you just can't
