Early game so should be easy to rip. If i remember rightly it's a DOS disk as well.

I'll have a go later.

Jeez, early EA games which mean their attempt at the universal IFF format. It's a SMUS file, which if I remember rightly is Deluxe Music Construction Set.

You can just copy the SONGS directory to your hard disk and play them.

I know...

but in my version the SMUS file seemed to be corrupt when I tried to play it with Aegis Sonix v2 it couldn't find the instruments (percussion.instr,...), but the I checked and the instruments that sonix requested were in the instruments dir (of sonix)
But like I said in my version, I will try to dl another from the internet

The Sonix/SMUS thing is a tricky one. Even though the instruments may share the same name as the ones on the Sonix disk, doesn't mean they are the same, as they may be using differnt samples (.ss files), so you should tell Sonix to use the Instruments dir on the Test Drive Disk. That should work. Back when I used to rip SMUS and DMCS songs from the early games that used them, and some demos (like Rhapsody In Blue, etc.), I would LHA the actual song file (.smus, .dmcs) along with the appropriate instruments in their dir. There was some PD util (probably can be found on Aminet) that would examine the song file and tell you which instruments the song used, then I would just look for those files on the disk, arch it all up, then throw it on my BBS or upload it to ratio boards.

If you still can't get it to go, let me know and I'll see if I can't get the toon for ya.

OK, that would be cool. I checked both of my copies of the game (one cracked and one copied from an original with a parameter-based copy program); there is a Songs dir with the SMUS files inside (with the iff.sng extension) and what appears to be three sample files, which may be raw (I don't recognize their format). I don't see an Instruments dir anywhere. Are you maybe thinking of Test Drive II? Even then, TDII is pretty much the same way, only without the Songs dir.

can i have your e-mail adres because i can't post it here (max 200 kb)

there are 3 instruments, something like:
drum, drum1, synth
drum and drum1 work
but the problem lies in synth:
played it in sonix -> crash
played it in octamed -> weird sound
i looked at exoticripper but it doesn't support smus files
