Kriz you're darn right The One was great!!
After another magazine I used to follow returned to only covering C64 stuff I switched over to "The One" about the time they had a major relaunch with new Staff & I certainly rated it amongst the top Amiga gaming mags. In particular when David Upchurch was editor,(you may recall a fair haired big fat guy), the One was at it's zenith. After he left I personally thought it's standards fell pretty much they way of the Amiga's fortune's did after CBM went bust. But none-the less, all round, a pretty good magazine. |

I just have read the story of The One at Amiga Interactive Guide and are rather curious how the magazine was in its days. I've never read The One before because the magazine was very hard to find at the newsagents in The Netherlands.
What I do know is that a little Dutch game called Hoi got a whopping score of 90% in the magazine somewhere in 1992. - Despite okay gameplay I think this score is too exaggerated. Can someone scan this article? Thanks in advance. |
